While Master Duel definitely have a lot of problem, I actually kinda enjoy the format that we have right now. A pretty diverse one with various competitive decks with Runick being the only thing that I would say is a glaring problem. Kinda dreading Spright and Tear coming bc of that tbh

That card resolves less than 25% of the time. Anyone that thinks it keeps combo in check doesn't really play the game. It only makes deck lists similar.

@@Ragnarok540 It kinda keeps combo in check by forcing them to run the counter package and reduce space for extenders and techs. Combo is usually designed to have higher engine size. Obviously it doesn't always work because sometimes combo doesn't need the space. Mathmech is an example. It makes a great board but engine size is average.

Since the swiss was best of 1, the odds of a runick player both going first and then winning in 7 out of the 8 games they play is was just too low for any of the people playing it to make top cut. If more people played it, it could've made top cut, but then the side boards would wipe it out in top 16, so in the end most people just chose to play something else Runick is great in a best of 1 format where a 51% win rate is good enough to succeed, but in a best of 1 swiss -> best of 3 top cut w/ siding format where a 82.5% win rate at worst, 75% at best to even reach top cut? Absolutely terrible deck

Branded is so unfathomably boring. It is near infinite advantage even amid interruptions. A trend with with a lot of the new powerhouse decks. Flow and tear for example. It's really not fun to play against and saps any enjoyment out of the game unless you are also on those decks. Mathmech in contrast has a few easy places to hit the deck to completely shut it down and make recovery almost impossible. Recursion is the most boring form of power creep and the least interactive.

nah, I think he had a line to leathal. Making an transcode talker with update then using update and another link 2 for accesscode would make it untargetable and you'd have a double attacking 4800 monster and a 2800 monster that also would have stopped aluber from being summoned. I'm not the line to get to that point exactly though.

Havent watched yet but Branded Despia, Mathmech, and Swordsoul feel so much better than every single other deck on masterduel right now. I wouldnt be surprised if this video was just those decks over and over. And i would be surprised if one of those decks won.

@@xCorvus7x dragon link will always be a playable deck. But its not tier 1, 2, or 3 making it technically rouge. Ruinick, adamancipator, and @ignister mathmech are all much better decks than dragons right now sadly. When it comes to rogue though i would put dragons near the very top.
