I don't know why, but the fact that this can be fired remotely scares me more than the actual gun. Like you could blow up anywhere you wanted, with no fear of retaliation what so ever.

Problem is it's cumbersome to position. This is like the Railway Cannon (was the name Gustav?) that the Nazi's (it's either them or the Germans, don't remember) once built. I'm not too scared of it, but I'll be scared if the cannon can turn by itself rather than being lined parallel with the tracks, that's when all hell breaks loose.

@@dumbleking5172 Schwerer Gustav (Yes it was the nazis) was a siege cannon, it was used to demolish deep bunker networks and cities from miles away (around 24 miles). An 80cm shell the height of a person fired from so far away you'd have no idea where when or what happened, with enough power to demolish city blocks and penetrated the deepest defences. You say you're not scared of it because it needed tracks but you have to remember they had a whole like battalion of engineers dedicated to getting those tracks set up as quick as possible and would have a junction for quick traverse, the gun could also pivot slightly by itself which, at that range, 1 degree can be a huge change of direction. It was legitimately terrifying. And so was its younger brother, the Karl-Gerät, which was a tracked 60cm siege mortar which *COULD* turn independently of tracks. Theres also the Sturmtiger which was a 38cm Rocket-depth charge thrower. The Gustav was 1 of 3. It demolished Sevastopol with around 300 shells and took out many fortifications and ammunition bunkers up to 30m underground. The Karl and Sturmtiger have video footage of them wiping out entire buildings or groups of buildings with one shell. You are correct it was cumbersome and slow but dear God it was and always will be scary because if you were the intended target, you werent surviving. Plus if you think about it it wasnt that insane given it was being built to combat the maginot but just wasnt done on time.

Not a railgun, a railway gun. There’s a difference. A railgun uses magnets to shoot something very fast, a railway gun uses a train (or in this case 2 trains) to haul around a very big gun.

Two different trains. Notice how there were 2 station blocks he had to click to disassemble. Also, there weren't any turns in the track because If there were, the two trains would turn at different rates which would break the illusion of it being one thing.
