Back when I was a kid, we skied at this mole hill in RI called PineTop Ski Area. They had an old Sno Cat 342 (I think) that I thought was the coolest thing I had ever seen !! Now living in Vermont, the local snow machine club grooms right through my property with a Cummins powered modern Cat and I still stand on my porch in awe as the Allison goes through the gears after it crosses the road. That's my kind of "music" !

UK calling. Back in the 1950s after a lecture in London on the Trans Antarctic Expedition, I was lucky enough to sit in one of the Tucker Snocats which reached the South Pole, with Sir Vivian Fuchs team. Great to see similar units among these vehicles.

It was good to see some actual Sno Cats in a video talking about snocats. I grew up in Tucker country.

To the guy hand cranking to start the engine. Be very careful doing it. Put your thumb along side your other fingers. Gripping it as you would normally may get your thumb busted if it backfires. My grandfather had it happen.

My favorite by far is the sno kitten ! I'd love to find one with a bad motor and shoe horn a 2-53 Detroit into it !
