@@Americanspy-hn2kw Yes, he is terminal. He spoke about his decision to stop treatment months ago. He is in hospice care at his home. He has talked openly and shown the terrible tumor on his face (and in his head). I think it's important that people aren't afraid to say the "d" word and face facts (which Mark is). This is just awful and tragic - but I find him to be such an inspiration. His positivity in the face of this is a lesson to all of us. My heart breaks for Mark and his family!! 💔

I was with my brother when he was fighting cancer and then decided on no more treatment. He lived for his children, my niece and nephew who were 8 and 4 when he died. My brother is a better part of our lives today because of the memories he was able to create, although he was in pain, it was not the same debilitating , prolonged pain as treatment to prolong his life would have been. He made the choice for the best quality of life he could and although it tore us, his family of origin, to shreds, I am so proud of his choice, made with his wife, to make what time he had left the best it could be for their children. I applaud your decision and bravery and know that my adored and beloved big brother is there for you. You and you family are in my thoughts and prayers every day. You are such an inspiration. I had a slipped disk in my back last year. Just as it was getting better, I decided to cut my toe nails and collapsed a disk. I now walk at 80degrees of 'straight up and down' and have pain in back and hips when walking and sitting. I've been feeling sorry for myself - I'm "only" 68 years old and move like I'm 90. But you, my very dear friend, get up, get about, deal with the hand that you've been dealt. You still laugh, you still do your vlog, still engage. So I'm just getting over myself and remembering you when I feel like I don't want to move. Can't wait to see the tractor done! I'm not familiar with this tractor, so you taught me a few new things. I'm a farm gal, and I sure do miss working on tractors and farm equipment and working on the land, so you brought back some pretty good memories. My husband was a carpenter and wood worker, so I got double the memories. I loved to watch as his mind worked, he was a very funny man too! So thanks you for the laughs and the great memories. My husband will greet you with a guitar when the time comes. In the mean time, live your life the way you want, not how others think you should. Which you pretty much do already. I know that soon your time with us will be over, and that's ok, we don't need to be a part of your life at a certain point. We love you whether we see you or not. @lisa male hope you’re getting some support with the transition? Going from being active to a non active person is not easy. I have chronic pain conditions and couldn’t use my left hand for 4 years following surgery, the one thing that saved me was speaking to a pain psychologist who helps you adjust to your new body. I know ALS is different as it’s progressive, just a thought 🤷🏼‍♀️ ♥️♥️
