McArthur River Houseboat Fishing Adventure

Spending some time on the McArthur River and the Pellew Islands on a houseboat. The boats name is the "Pellew Explorer", and it's the flagship of the Borroloola Houseboat's fleet.

Yea, interesting setup... no lip grippers, no pliers, no landing net. But YES, we have a big recycle bin on the boat. Something very wrong there with our priorities. Haha

Yes mate. The Pellew Explorer is still operating on the McArthur river. They have 5 houseboats in total. But the Pellew is the biggest.

Hey Mikey, got my own brand new 3D Shrimp from Savage Gear and a new flat shad weedless from Zerek! Keen to use them on barra! Any retrieval techniques i can use to catch more barra!!? Loving this video by the way!

I reckon with both of them, just don’t wind too fast. Just a slow retrieval with a few twitches here and there. The flat shad is good fun because you will feel the tail beating in the water. Pause and let them sink too every now and then. Barra can be lazy. You really need to make them want to come out and smash the lure sometimes.
