We finally got a few days off, so we packed up the car and headed off to King Ash Bay on the McArthur River, Northern Territory. The owners of the station that we are working on own a shack right on the river, so we were stoked to be able to stay there and borrow their tinny for a couple of little missions. Unfortunately, there wasn't a heap of action, but Kel landed a small Barra and Jed landed a Silver Bream that we were able to keep and cook up for a snack. Mostly we were just stoked to have a few days to chill out and catch up on life admin after working more than 6 weeks straight!

Snake Jerky 😂. Cant wait to see Jed Hanging Snakes in Bucket o Bill! The irony of you hauling WA Ribs into NT while you were working on a cattle station left me on the floor laughing. They looked damn good. So good to see you both chilling out! We Won The GF Jed, I was a bit Dusty this morning. To back it up, I have the privilege of doing Jury Duty tomorrow.🙆‍♂. GOOD clip been to king ash bay I have been in the bush most of my life and probably only ever seen about 5 or maybe 6 of those birds not sure of their name but have always called them bush pheasants. Was up there fishing with some mates on one of the houseboats

@@oldmate_adventures Yeah mate I've only been up the once but mate of mine goes up every year with another crew caught quite a fer in the creeks we had two boats and went out to an island if I remember right it is 22 KS off the coast used to be a weather station if I'm right go just on daylight like glass come back in the Arvo ruff as it used to put the breeze up me reckon there would still be finger prints on the boat where I was hanging on mate and I caught 2 barra out there beautiful fish 94 and 96 . Old bushy me mate not real brave in that big old ocean. Did I hear use say you were hoping to go back sometime

My gosh, those ribs looked fantastic. I better get me a rotisserie before I head up river next month. I'm so looking forward to catching my first barra. Kel, you are a champion 🏆 well done on your catch. Jed lovely sized bream 42cm was my biggest bream. I do have a video I think on my mates KZbin channel me catching it. Hairyhookers kayak fishing. Well done guys. I still haven't printed your photos yet. Will get there. They are sitting my ute on a usb. I should just post the usb to you. You could have the rights to them. It's been a hard month. People leaving work. Wife in hospital and the exiting part. My boat loader. Love your work guys 🍻

Hey there Nath, yeah mate definitely get a lil rotisserie for the trip! They are so so handy. Ooofff 42 your equal Pb with Kel, I've never cracked the 40's yet. No dramas about the photos mate, when ever you get time. Hope the crumpets were good and had a great weekend 👍🍻

@oldmate_adventures no crumpets this morning mate. I didn't have breakfast. I'm rushing around because my wife is in hospital. I can't find rotisserie that sits on my folding fire pit. I have one like yours. Anaconda has one for $40 but I have to buy some mounts for $60 to go on the pit.

Awesome ep and Tucker cook ups guys, The mighty 60hp 4/ yamaha great donks our is 19 years old got say 1400 hours on it, My relo Gary Kilday lives and works at KAB. they say go down near the mouth lots of great Goldies in the deeper holes.
