The way I've seen the Nernst equation come up on the MCAT is in questions that ask us to determine the Gibb's Free Energy (deltaG) of an electrochemical cell. I actually go over this version of the Nernst equation at the end of this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqTGoKuMmdyeic0si=rYIbO-kgNsL9e0o1 Otherwise, it's just good to know that the full Nernst Equation can help us identify the variables that can affect the overall cell potential - I've never seen an AAMC equation that would ask you to calculate this, but it's always good to have a conceptual understanding of the relationship between the variables!
