I am surprised Ali A doesn't have more interesting topics as he has with Paul W because I think brother Ataie can do a lot for Muslim people because of his credentials. In my eyes, he is one of the top 5 people to learn from. Even when he talks he sounds really nice, not too soft, not harsh.

IMHO if amir Uthman had stabilized the text by relying on his own memorization and reading singlehandedly it would probably been still good enough... but he took it a step further - by being consultative and forming a committee

Sounds a lot like Constantine, the whole narrative around Usman compiling the Quran makes no sense, the claim it was never written down during revelation goes against the claims being made in the Quran itself. Take away Hadith literature and you have no basis for this claim. We need to apply Occams Razor to what we think we know about the Quran.

Hmhm! If one wants to be knowledgeable in Islam and the Qur'an, he/she must be conversant with Arabic. It makes everything much more easier and beautiful to learn. Look at the way all this knowledge is flowing from Dr Ataie. If I can be eager to listen to, and enjoy all that he is saying in English, imagine how it would be to be learning all this in Arabic. Perfect!

@darth_veda4 ай бұрын
You are romanticising about something that had nothing to do with the Quran. If you think the Quran can only be preserved in modern Arabic script then, you may want to review what you know about Quran and the evolution of the Arabic script. The current script is not the original script. Modern day Arabic is not the same as classical Arabic, Quranic Arabic has non Arabic words in it which indicates that Modern Arabic comes from some parts of Classic Arabic. It's not the other way round, that would make no sense.

There are 3 points to clarify Collection of Quran happen during the time of Khalefa Abu baker after the battle of alhadeeqa in alyammama after many killed who memorize Quran and the commete head by zaid and this collection stayed with um almumennen Ayisha The second point during Khalefa Othman based on the initial collection with the help of zaid they made copies send to different areas The third point Regarding abukozima alansaari ,there is a Hadith considering his testimony good for two men

This brother is very good and knowledgeable more than traditional scholars. AlhamdulilAllahi rabbil aalameen. He is indirectly saying those who are giving Quran message should stick to Quran rather using it (manmade hadith) they should invite or give message using straight from Quran with references like how most Quran alone people do. They are not afraid to provide references. Someone how I feel like traditional imams are afraid to/do not give references in case we learn the Quran or get knowledge straight from the Quran, they might be called again or there is no need of them anymore. This might be one of the possible reason why they do not provide references when they give their talks.

Fantastic work MashaAllah. May Allah reward the Dr. This video has audio issues. For some reason the audio is only on the left speaker, and then in the middle there is some distracting background noises. The content is super beneficial, so I think it would be value added to have an audio engineer fix these issues (assuming it's possible). I am really looking forward to the second part of this presentation. I guess my biggest question is why do people give credence to these one off reports and ingore the mass transition of the Quran. Like I understand there are reports that indicate a sahabi read this way or that way, which is fine. But all the qiraat and asaneed through the sahabi don't have that reading. So it must be the case that the sahabi dropped it to conform with the uthmanic recension. This shows that the our salaf cared about this project. And for the sake of standardizing it they dropped their own personaal preferences (which they learned from the prophet). Or it means the one off report is simply not accurate. I think it would have been good to mention the Hadith about the ahruf where the property specifically mentions there are old people in my ummah. It seems like the whole concept was a concession for readers that could not master the Quran. Which is super important in the first generation while these things are being solidified. Afterwards it's not so important because you learn as a small child with someone who already mastered. But the sahabi we're adults when it was being revealed. And they needed to understand it perfectly and read it perfectly in their native tounges so they could cheive mastery and then pass it on. It is miraculous

What i recommend is to read the writings of Bishop Clement of Alexandria in regards to his visions of Peter himself the apostle Peter and what the elder stepbrother of Jesus Christ said.
@PhilidaFortune5 ай бұрын
All that you are reading there are modern writings that replace your traditional Quran that has been chosen for you in 1085. Because you all know that there was no Uthman Quran... it was chopped and changed till the Abbasids came and wrote the one accepted in the 8th centiry. But they comtinued writing till there were 700 Qurans. Dr Shadi Nasser at Harvard has proven it on interviews. Especially one with Mythvision. Go and listen to Yassir Qadhi, till today you dont understand the Quran.... the HOLES ARE TOO BIG!!

This is so strange. Multiformic fashion ?? Are you inventing a new narrative to explain away the true origin of islam in the context that it has been found to have been copied and corrupted in its transmission ? No human beings can ensure that oral transmissions can truely be preserved in its entirety.
@aladdinsane4042 ай бұрын
A really easy way for you to refute oral mass transmission. The Quran is recited cover to cover every Ramadan in every mosque from memory. Simply find differences in recitations of the same qira’at across geographical locations. I mean it’s only been over 1400 years and we’re still waiting..
@priyanka53165 ай бұрын
What is the point of comparing Qur'an to the Bible or to the Torah? Each of these belief systems claim one Creator (the "trinity" is not in the Bible-it is extra-Biblical Roman corruption). Each of them tell us to worship, love and serve the one Creator, and to love our fellow man. That is our common purpose, period, and if we are following that, no matter what nuances we have in our cultures that shape some of our viewpoints, that is all that matters. We should address behavior, not varying viewpoints. Does the Christian/Muslim/Jew that you meet serve the One Creator by loving his fellowan? Do we hold ourselves to that fundamental task?Then it doesn't matter whether one follows Qur'an, Bible or Torah. We have to meet on this common ground alone before we even think of lovingly discussing and sharing any other viewpoints. If one shows that he doesn't serve the Creator by showing love for his fellow man, then that person doesn't even believe the Qur'an/Bible/Torah, so these endless explanations of variations are useless even to talk about, and lead to resentment, division and even violence. Salaam/Peace/Shalom.

Various other splinter sects have also been identifying as "Islam" (notably Shiism, Sufism and Ahmadiyya), and thus became very misleading. It's thus become important to distinguish from other sects, hence the "Sunni" label

While one admires Dr. Ali Al Taie’s erudition and scholarly way of thinking and speaking, one cannot agree with him that the Qur’an has always been multi-formic and has never been uniformic. This is simply not true. It is only in the minds of traditional scholars that it was held to have multiple forms. When it was revealed to the Prophet, it was certainly uniform. With the passage of time and the expansion of Islam, however, Muslims started disputing about almost everything, including the Quran. In order to explain away these disputes, scholars have invented the tradition of the Seven Modes of reading (حديث الأحرف السبعة). Anyone who knows the Qur’an intimately knows that it has never had multiple forms and that the variations in the reading systems can be harmonized to have one single Qur’an instead of the traditionally accepted 20 versions.

could be. However, Ali [the Prophet's cousin] is quoted as saying to Ibn Abbass "don't argue with them using Qu'ran, for Qur'an has multiform" (القران حمال اوجه). Now, I am not sure if Ali's use of the term is the same as Taie's.
