Cyan were the true underdogs in this event. Even if they didn't win, getting 2nd was something almost no one saw coming.

Nah! Purple was the underdog. Half of that squad never even played anything outside survival Minecraft. They only saw couple of videos of people playing the previous MCC just before the event. One's a builder and other one's a redstoner. They didn't even know the rules of most of the games. From that point to finishing in the top 3 after every game then finishing no.1 before Dodgeball is just amazing! When they saw they're up against a Valorant playing team in the dodgeball round, they just accepted 3-0 defeat! There were no fake "we can do this" motivational speech. They just all decided there's no way they're winning this.

Cyan should be a regular team like the simmers or the krimson krakens. Cyan brought so much life to this MCC as I knew they'd do well in Meltdown but they kept going and got to dodgebolt. Having them in more as a full team would make mcc so much more fun as I've been a lot more bored with it but this was one of my favorites.

@@helloman3676 Yeah, I predicted them to do amazing in Meltdown - so long as they know the basic Minecraft controls a bunch of top tier fps gamers were easily going to dominate underdog MC players in that gamemode. And PKT tests general game movement skill more than MC skill as well.

I love how pretty much a *majority* of predictions people had for Cyan had placed them 9th or 10th overall. Which is completely fair, they had never played in MCC, and they had no experienced Minecraft player on their team. It was great that they practiced the night before the tournament because they all got to fix their settings 😆 The game mode Meltdown putting them into 1st place was crazy! BoxBox in Dodgebolt was insane too! 🤩 Winning in the MCC ‘Underdogs’ would have been *perfect* , but getting 2nd is great too! I’m proud of my strimmers 🥰

i’ve only watched mcc a few times but i am an avid toast viewer (consider myself a toast main). i knew they were going to do well (toast’s teams tend to exceed in any tournament) but i was not expecting them to place 2nd (or 1st during a point in the tourney). i am so proud of them and glad to see them enjoying mcc! he always makes it a memorable and fun viewing experience regardless of a win or lose and his teams always have insane comms

The fact that half of the purple panda squad didn't even know how most of the games are played but they consistently got top 3 overall after every game and finishing at no. 1 position before dodgebolt, it's just amazing. Not to mention they never played these games and only saw some videos of people playing couple of days before the event. Their teamwork and adapting to the situation was top notch. You can see that in SoT round. Every team was freaking out then their pov was like this is the most chill round in the history of MCC.

I think 9 times out of 10 SOT will be a trainwreck with tons of new/inexperienced players, honestly think they shouldn't have included it in the event lol. I did expect Red and Blue to do better in it though.
