Thank you for explaining the beginning game! I've just hit level 8. How do we open up other islands? Swamp is showing up, but I don't know how to get there. Do I have to catch all the types of fish in Island 1 first and then it opens up? I'm confused as to how we move forward!

Congrats on hitting level 8! As you level up you can unlock new islands (you unlock the floral forest at level 10)! As for the swamp, if you hover over it, there'll be a progress bar showing you how close you are to unlocking it! The swamp (also known as the grotto) is an unstable fishing area so it isn't always unlocked. If the progress bar is full, you can warp to the swamp by clicking on the swamp icon in the menu. You can see various fishing spots in the grotto and as you fish, the stability of the area goes down. Once it hits 0% you get teleported to your highest unlocked island (you don't lose anything, so don't worry about that!). You can unlock the grotto or swamp again by fishing and getting more data. You don't need to catch all the types of fish in island 1 as some of them are tricky to get, but it can be a fun goal to try and achieve! Good luck with fishing! (also sorry for the long reply LOL)

@@bear818 Thank you so much for your time to explain it to me! I am getting better at it and now level 15. Do we have to do anything special with our crab pot (put it somewhere to trigger it?) or do we just let it do its thing? I am hooked on this game! Hee hee hee!

@@faeriehearthwitch6185 Brilliant pun! Once you buy them, the crab pots are always active (even when you are offline)! You can add augments to the crab pots like you can with the fishing rod!
