My grandfather had one, he said the drive was great until you were in mud and had to back up, the casters didn't like that and would pivot to go backwards and you were stuck. It would blaze a trail going forward though. Was a good machine for the little farms here.

They were somewhat common around here & it was common to see them stuck in the late Summer mud if it was a wet one. They would make quick work of a small, odd shaped field though.👍

Great video! If I were in the market for a small SP, I'd want one. Looks a lot like an SP version of an 82 pull-type

The independent drive system looks like it would have worked very well for a combine that size.

Probably didn't work well in mud though. Same as a zero turn mower. They're great until you hit mud

It was great until you got it stuck. Dad had one and it was awful in sub par ground.

They typically don't bring much past $3000 on a good day. And those are in mint condition with straight tin & near perfect original paint. Usually they'll bring $500 - $1000 running & about half if it isn't. Those are auction prices, mind you.
