That's a beautiful thang. I just got the same saw and I need to rebuild the damn thing. I cannot follow directions for the life of me.

Just picked up an old Mac 10 10 a few minutes ago. Hope i can do the same to mine. I have new saws but for some reason i just want to restore one of these old beasts and use it from time to time.

Real cool....i had a blast...parts can be found on ebay. However i only had to do a rebuild kit on the carb. Have fun and enjoy!

I bought my PM 10-10 for 212. Runs great, just looks like a sleeper 😂. Looks beater on the outside but runs like new.

I know this is has been awhile but can you remember exactly what yellow paint you used to match? I have a few old Mac Pros to touch up. Thanks in advance man. The 10-10 looks deadly!!!

I took a part with me to home depot and matched as best as i could. Getting the exact yellow is next to impossible, but i got very close. I bought the most expensive however i am not sure of the brand.

You're lucky to live in America......here in France, parts are really hard to find for these old McCulloch....... :-(

I buy parts on ebay....is ebay available in france? I bet international shipping is expensive.

@@c.sharpe2859 Yes, international shipping is expensive. What is even worse is the fact that most of the US guys are not willing to ship something out of the States! Not at all. I had one completely inert guy who offered a saw on Ebay but he denied to sell it to me even not for the double price and taking over all costs and risks from my side.

The replacement motors were never painted, thats how you can tell if a used one had the motor replaced.

how come you didn't put in New rings, bearings, and seals.

I would have done a compression test, and pressure and vacuum tested it. And replaced the gas tank gasket (they leak like hell). It looks like he got lucky, and found one with a good piston, bearings, and seals. It was an entertaining video!! But the only mechanical improvement on the saw was rebuilding the carb, and gapping the coil. Nice saw, for $20!!!

How long do you think this took all together ? I have like 10 pro macs I need to restore some 88 cc’s.

Because it was in bad shape to begin with its hard to say how long it took. 1 or 2 each night after work for 5 or 6 days...excluding paint dry time. So maybe 10 to 12 hours total
