This really couldn't have been more perfectly written. Dante's patient understanding while Sam processes her grief is stellar. He's a wonderful man and she appreciates him. Having her be the one to take the final step in asking him to stay was important. They're equally invested. They get better and better with each scene!

What gets me about this all is Dante. He's displaying so many different emotions...physical desire, heartache, fear, empathy, love...He's obviously still heartbroken over Lulu's coma and not quite ready to open up, hence why he wanted to take it slow, so his own heart could catch up. Fate had other plans and his physical desire for Sam along with his love for her overwhelmed his fear and resistance. He wanted this to happen under better circumstances but allowed his heart to choose the time instead.

Sam and Dante together….🙄🤮his half sister and half brother is the same as her half sister and half brother. She slept with his father, and got pregnant (died tragically) almost was the mother of what would have been his half sister. Her other half sister is his first cousin. Gross. Just gross.
