I’ve worked at McDonald’s for a couple years and my biggest takeaway from his vids is how efficient, clean, and most of all QUIET his kitchen and staff are. You can tell they are well trained and he is an owner that cares about his franchise that he makes it a relaxed and clean environment for his employees. I’m willing to bet he hasn’t posted many job applications for a while because his staff seems like they love working there.

I wonder if McDonald's would look towards a more 'stairstep' arrangement for the cheese when it comes in.. It's the biggest struggle in efficiency I see. One would believe that in manufacturing they would be able to work with their purveyors to accommodate this in the initial packaging. I don't think this would change any space in the box packaging either. It's a major efficiency change they should consider, so long as it makes cost conscious sense. It seems to be the biggest hold up on the grill, especially when down to the last 3 slices in a stack
@willdwyer21672 жыл бұрын
an excellent point.
@TR472 жыл бұрын
Each slice is slightly offset from the previous and next, in an alternating pattern-a sliver of the edge is hanging to allow for easier peeling.
@ET-df2xz2 жыл бұрын
@@TR47 Are the positions of #1 and #3 the same? With #2 being offset from the prior and future? I think that might be the issue going back to the same pattern prior. It needs to be a continual 'stairstep' out from each and every piece. If they shortened the stacks to, lets say 10 pieces, a true stairstep could be created for max efficiency. Regardless, I think Mcdonald's should spend time further perfecting this. It's definitely an efficiency shortfall how it sits now, regardless of what the solution is.

I work at Mcdonald’s and every time the owner comes for a visit at his store, he often joins us in the kitchen and correct the things we do wrong. Some people in the comment section say that the kitchen is quiet and it shows how “well-trained” the workers are. What I can confirm is the kitchen is as quiet as the one here whenever the owner is around 💀 I’m not trying to take out anything from Stephen’s store but knowing Mcdonald’s and how it actively hires for young workers (which is the age group they really need considering it is a fast-paced restaurant) the kitchen will always be loud enough. The owner in our store even encourages us to talk with our co-workers as it actually shows how we as a team can get along. As long as work is done properly, a noisy kitchen is not a big deal. I do admit that this Mcdonald’s is better managed considering how clean it really is and how stock is ready in the fridge under the dress bench in case some condiments run out.

There’s two sides of table. Side 1 and side 2. He’s prolly just on the opposite side, the other side is across from him.

I was actually impressed with my McD's a couple days ago. Where you wait inside to get your order they show your order numbers progress on a screen, I knew exactly when it was coming. Took about 5 minutes, slammed with uber eats orders. No one seems to eat in there anymore.

When you ask for 9 nuggets, large fries, coke and double cheese with no onions and pickles but instead get small fries, no nuggets , double cheese with extra onions and pickles and a sprite…..your McDonald’s is perfect to mine lol
