I’ve worked at McDonald’s for a couple years and my biggest takeaway from his vids is how efficient, clean, and most of all QUIET his kitchen and staff are. You can tell they are well trained and he is an owner that cares about his franchise that he makes it a relaxed and clean environment for his employees. I’m willing to bet he hasn’t posted many job applications for a while because his staff seems like they love working there.

Such a good team and peaceful working environment. The exact opposite of how I usually see fast food joints. Not toention one of my favorite sayings for working on table is "So is smooth, smooth is fast." you are a testimate to that phrase. I worked at McD 45 years ago when all there was for sandwiches was Mac, Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Fish and 1/4 LB. Was crew then later manager. I learned many things at McD but mostly how to handle pressure. It was a very high volume store which went full tilt from 11am to 10 pm. 10 or more people working in the kitchen, 8 registers with cashier and runner, two fry stations. Still mixing shakes on a spindle. The good old days.

I love these videos and like everyone else I find them very relaxing. BUT the craziest thing to me about his videos is that there is no beeping in the background. That means that all the notifications for the food machines have been taken care of and nothing is waiting to be pressed. I have NEVER been to a McDonalds where there wasn't one million beeps going on in the background. I think it speaks to his management style and the training the team has to be efficient and on top of everything!

I wonder if McDonald's would look towards a more 'stairstep' arrangement for the cheese when it comes in.. It's the biggest struggle in efficiency I see. One would believe that in manufacturing they would be able to work with their purveyors to accommodate this in the initial packaging. I don't think this would change any space in the box packaging either. It's a major efficiency change they should consider, so long as it makes cost conscious sense. It seems to be the biggest hold up on the grill, especially when down to the last 3 slices in a stack

Each slice is slightly offset from the previous and next, in an alternating pattern-a sliver of the edge is hanging to allow for easier peeling.
@ET-df2xz
@ET-df2xz 2 жыл бұрын
@@TR47 Are the positions of #1 and #3 the same? With #2 being offset from the prior and future? I think that might be the issue going back to the same pattern prior. It needs to be a continual 'stairstep' out from each and every piece. If they shortened the stacks to, lets say 10 pieces, a true stairstep could be created for max efficiency. Regardless, I think Mcdonald's should spend time further perfecting this. It's definitely an efficiency shortfall how it sits now, regardless of what the solution is.

I don’t know how I would handle the speed in the restaurant since it’s much more complex in preparation than the orchards I used to work at, but I did well with preparing hot beverages, from coffee, to hot chocolate, to delicious hot cider. After all, keep up the hard work and I support of the people who work well in fast food industries like you.

I work at Mcdonald’s and every time the owner comes for a visit at his store, he often joins us in the kitchen and correct the things we do wrong. Some people in the comment section say that the kitchen is quiet and it shows how “well-trained” the workers are. What I can confirm is the kitchen is as quiet as the one here whenever the owner is around 💀 I’m not trying to take out anything from Stephen’s store but knowing Mcdonald’s and how it actively hires for young workers (which is the age group they really need considering it is a fast-paced restaurant) the kitchen will always be loud enough. The owner in our store even encourages us to talk with our co-workers as it actually shows how we as a team can get along. As long as work is done properly, a noisy kitchen is not a big deal. I do admit that this Mcdonald’s is better managed considering how clean it really is and how stock is ready in the fridge under the dress bench in case some condiments run out.

I’ve been doing Intermittent Fasting for 3 months STRICT w 1200 cals per day and I also had a DQP w cheese (first time having one in my life) , 10 nugs and a fry after I had COVID 2 weeks ago. It was miraculous, I only have McDonald’s once a year.

These videos always make me want a cheeseburger (with extra onion bits - yum) and a McChicken. Occasionally I want a Big Mac too. But the best thing they ever had were those spicy nuggets and the mighty hot sauce. I hope they bring that back!

I was actually impressed with my McD's a couple days ago. Where you wait inside to get your order they show your order numbers progress on a screen, I knew exactly when it was coming. Took about 5 minutes, slammed with uber eats orders. No one seems to eat in there anymore.
