I am a disabled veteran. The day I enlisted in the U.S. Navy, October 02, 1987, this song was playing on the radio. The recruiter had to catch the bus to get me to MEPS in Montgomery Al. The bus was leaving Gadsden Alabama and he stopped the bus when it was almost in Anniston, Alabama. The bus driver said the only reason he stopped was because he saw the government tag on the car. He let me on the bus and I was on my way. The rest is history.

Lord, the culture black people had then is amazing. Everyone had their own distinctive style in our culture, and were amazing at whatever they did. And the women were so wholesome and beautiful.
