Lord, the culture black people had then is amazing. Everyone had their own distinctive style in our culture, and were amazing at whatever they did. And the women were so wholesome and beautiful. I was young then and didn't know at the time how rich in culture we were, not until modern times when we've lost it. whatever they had then, we don't have it now. You feel it missing in today's music.

This song is the most positive, most wonderful song that I've ever heard!! I've always loved it so greatly from the very first time it ever came out!! It's always been so powerful & meaningful to me!! The words have always held such great importance & such great encouragement to me!! This song has often given me the courage even to this day through rough moments in my life & in the world!! &, Of course, the way the song was sung & its back-up & its music & its beat is so powerful, encouraging, incredible, & extremely beautiful too!! I love this song endlessly!! My senior year of high school was 1979-1980!! I am so proud to have graduated then, including because that's when two of the most powerful & most encouraging songs ever came out, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by: McFadden & Whitehead, & "Stomp" by: The Brother's Johnson!! You can't beat that!! Nowadays they don't even have the sense anymore to make positive. powerful, & encouraging songs!! That's ashame because the power of the right words in a song can make the greatest impact even on society!! I will always be extremely grateful forever for the two most positive, powerful, & encouraging songs ever, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by: McFadden & Whitehead, & "Stomp" by: The Brother's Johnson, from 1979 & 1980!! RIP for all eternity our forever very dear friends, McFadden & Whitehead!!🙂♥️🦋🌈

I am a disabled veteran. The day I enlisted in the U.S. Navy, October 02, 1987, this song was playing on the radio. The recruiter had to catch the bus to get me to MEPS in Montgomery Al. The bus was leaving Gadsden Alabama and he stopped the bus when it was almost in Anniston, Alabama. The bus driver said the only reason he stopped was because he saw the government tag on the car. He let me on the bus and I was on my way. The rest is history.
