I do wish the blue pieces were more metallic like DC Directs but still a great fig as always by McFarlane.

Yeah does not have that metallic look to it, but the texturing and damage and detail all of the figure is absolutely amazing

I can't wait for this figure, but the fact that you can't remove the pistol from the holster makes NO SENSE, there is no reason for it to be like that on any action figure Great review :-)

There is an actual ball joint in there bro. I know, I was fooled too but there's a second ball in there. That's the reason the ab area has a soft rubber material towards it. I found this out from an other reviewer and I even took it apart to see and it's in there👍 Try it again and you'll see. The lack of accessories still suck however but the figure is good overall

Sure there is articulation under there, but the way the torso is designed makes it useless

For me I still really like the DC Collectibles Version in my collection I’m gonna use the McFarlane one as his appearance from Arkham Knight. Side note how did you get fireflys wings to stay on?

They stay on if you press them and firmly but they fall out pretty easily I actually broke one last night and will have to glue it

Man I'm pumped for mine to arrive. Like you said this puts some high-end figures to shame. Great, honest review as usual man! The DCC Deathstroke is really good in my opinion. But I do think Mcfarlane overall trumps him wrt what he does for the price. DCC on average was about 5 dollars more, which i feel helped them cover the cost of unique sculpts, extra paint and accessories. Mcfarlane is a flat 20 dollars, so I feel this limits his ability to provide all the other stuff. So for what he's doing, I think Mcfarlane's figures are better. If he upped his price so he could scale up the accessories etc, I think he'd actually be better than DCC.

Trying real hard not to just become a Mcfarlane shill, but holy CRAP is he releasing great figure after great figure right now. I've got DC stuff, Fortnite stuff, Warhammer 40k stuff, My Hero Academia stuff, Mortal Kombat stuff, and since starting all the way back with Cuddle Team Leader, I've had only one dud (Doom Slayer). I've bought figures from properties I know absolutely nothing about and they're some of my favourite figures now (Nitehare in particular) and then there are releases I've been hot for for 25 years (Ultramarines!!!). I know there are some choices I'd do differently (Slade's pistol) but compared to the general quality and design of the figures, those become minor nitpicks. I'm not completely agog though. But I find myself excited for almost everything the doing and signing their praises all over KZbin. Much like the 90s, I'm watching Mcfarlane Toys raising the game again. I think this Slade tops the DC Collectibles for aesthetics and articulation but you definitely need at least one or two other Deathstrokes to steal their accessories.

I prefer the McFarlane version. While the DC Collectibles version has more accessories & paint detail, it’s brittle & prone to breakage due to the piss-poor plastic they used. The McFarlane Deathstroke has a more solid & feel, if you ask me. Not to mention superior articulation.

@@dHuntersReviews yeah, but I watched Unparalleled Universe review this figure and he said the leg articulation was basically garbage because you can’t hardly move his legs unless you move his torso first. I don’t know. I’m gonna watch multiple reviews before I make a decision to buy this guy.
