The Damian Wayne Robin from McFarlane is built a little different. I thought it would be helpful to show you how he was engineered and where to cut to add a great thigh swivel. Also... you may spot a new superhero! ;)

Great as usual Billy. Now, if only something can be done about the single hinge elbows and knees... Why Todd...why?!!!

🤩🤩🤩 I just bought the Multiverse Damian Wayne Robin. And it has the same issue with the legs. And i was trying to figure out how to mod them. Although i i saw this two years later. THANKS for making this video! 👍🏾

Thanks so much for your video, got Robin through the mail. Was very disappointed with it. Paint was horrible, some of the yellow was flaked off. Had to repaint it, turned out good, but I came across your video. Did this custom thigh mod, and it really awesome now. Thanks for the video, keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing your future mods👍

do you face any problem during the mod? how long do you warm the leg before cutting it?
@ShadowCommanderOneАй бұрын
@@alipohsem1781 from what I remember, I boiled the water followed the directions. Pretty straightforward.

Very nice! Not so intimidated by this one. Have you inspected his knees at all? I think if you remove some plastic you could get a further bend but I also noticed the more you ben, there’s a chance that the sculpt pushes up against the kneepad and you see stretch marks which will eventually crack.

I think I'd add a new joint in the knees and the elbows.

My god the small things Mcfarlane can do to make huge differences. Prob costs a bit more to manufacture. Have you taken a look at the Mcfarlane Witcher Geralt figure? It's an awesome figure, but it also has the same issue with the neck it being quite restricted in movement. BUT another obstruction to it is its hair sculpt kind of restricts the head from going back at all. It'll probably work if moving the head forward. Definitely would watch if you had any mod ideas for the Geralt figure.

I accidentally superglued the right leg on because it kept popping off. Do you know any way i can remove the superglue from the ball joint?
@billmaru2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I usually have to heat up the area and basically carefully pry or cut the adhesive away and then repair it. Adhesive can cause way more problems than fixing if it goes wrong. I wish I had a better answer for you.

@Billy Mahoney nail polish remover did the trick. I had to be careful of the paint, but I eventually got it off and fixed.

So is it safe to say now that we know where to cut we can do this without taking the legs off and popping out the pins?
@alipohsem1781Ай бұрын
yeaa not wanting to risk out to take off the pins.. have you done it with this method you proposed? if so, how does it turn out?

It just sucks that we have to mod these figures in order for them to be equal to other toy companies aka Hasbro. There's no excuse really I mean McFarlane has been in the industry for decades. He needs to step up the articulation quality, paint and over all quality . Most of my DC multiverse figures he made are loose as hell now and shit just pops off. The ankle joints are especially loose. As a company they need to prioritize different things. The sculpt can be good and still be really articulated and not be a floppy meas. It annoys me so much. I sadly bought this figure and out of the box he was a sloppy mess with paint being a problem. His left left loose and pops off as soon as I moved him. Makes me miss the icons figures.
