The articulation of the figure is just how dc direct/collectibles figures were made. Like the McFarlane versions better but I do have complete Arkham figures collection nonetheless

I had no problem to fit the gun in this figure's hand. But it has happened to me in other DC McFarlane figures. In that case I justused a dryer to heat on the hand to make more bendable.

There’s actually a really mobile torso joint on the mcfarlane joker it’s hidden under the overlay but it still works

Though the body sculpt on the mckfarlane figure is great, I really do not like that face and overall rather the other anyway. I was able to get the gun in jokers hand so I would give it another go or put it in boiling water to soften the plastic. Great vid 👍

@@DarkspiderDavid91 no, not at all as long as you’re careful with the figure. There’s properly a tutorial online or I’ve seen people use hairdryers.

DC Direct had some great sculpts, but between the lack of articulation and the fact that the design engineering on SO MANY of them are almost criminally terrible, renders them little more than slightly poseable statues. Mcfarlane is so much better, IMO. I do like your comparison videos though. Thanks for the content.

The body proportions are way off on the McFarlane figures, they look ridiculous most of the time. It only works with the more larger characters like Bane. There’s no reason why Batman should have long legs and a small upper body and chest, for example.

I have both and honestly I like the McFarlane one better, although the accessory that came with the DC Direct one is better ( I got the version with the original Scarface puppet)

I gotta go with DC Collectibles, the sculpts and paint are always better. Maybe I’m nostalgic for them but they feel so much more accurate to the source material. Articulation is a problem on the Asylum and City figures, but i think they absolutely killed most of the Origins and Knight figures.
