I’ll have to respectfully disagree with you on the Mafex Batman. I’m in love with that figure, especially for 1/12 scale. I’m sure you’ve gotten enough pushback as you already mentioned so I won’t fight you too tough on that lol. That aside, your mod here is damn near perfect. Just wish McFarlane had given us this version in box. Just as you mentioned your expectation of a near perfect figure for a high price (subjectively speaking), I don’t believe I should have to spend any extra money or time modding a retail figure when it could’ve easily come this way on its own. Again, great mod & great vid. I’m jealous lol.

I totally understand man. Mafex is still a great figure. My opinion could be seen as subjective since i am very bias with this version of batman. Mafex would easily beat this guy for me if the prices didnt really go up and the quality control was more consistent.

At the price point what McFarlane offers is no doubt better than those 100 dollars of hit or miss. Coming to your customisation...man! Those hands are best ...makes the figure so much expressive. Love your work. ❤️

I agree, the sculpt here, even with the yelling head, is superior to the mafex. Being that it’s supposed to be based on Jim lee’s art you would think it would match somewhat. The mafex falls short in that regard and if not for the expression this guy would’ve been perfect. The new blue version seems less accurate somehow with the chin being more round than blocky like this one. Either way it beats paying 100+ for the mafex. Great work and I’ll be sure to do the thigh swivel mod!

I thought the same on the new mcfarlane blue version. The face on that one does not resemble jim lees art at all. The close mouth looked too realistic to me.

Great mod. Btw guys those of you who didn’t know, since the elbows are black, it’s actually black paint painted over the grey. You can simply remove the black paint with acetone. It will take time though to remove.

The reason why the plastic on the arms and belt is really black may be because they come from the same mold. Doing it separate this time in this this economy may have been a pricey stretch for them.

Thats correct but if thats the case why not mold the belt and trunks together. They are 2 separate parts that were glued together

Mafex hush Batman is super overrated, the coloring is off and it doesn't really look like the artwork ESPECIALLY the head portrait . I understand why you don't like it for sure
