I love this Frankenstein. I'm definitely going to get the McFarlane weapons pack 2 that has his pistol with the bat wings. Hope we get a Klarion with Teekl accessory.

This is Frankenstein from the "Seven Soldiers" event written by Grant Morrison, in the same year that DC published "Infinite Crisis". It was a MUCH better read than Infinite Crisis, but it was much less publicized. The even was composed by two end-books (Seven Soldiers #0 and Seven Soldiers #1), and seven mini-series between both end books. Frankenstein was one of the most interesting of those mini-series, IMO. Another mini-series was Mister Miracle, which starred Shilo Norman instead of Scott Free, and introduced a lot of concepts that were later reused by Morrison in "Final Crisis". By the way, I'm REALLY hoping that McFarlane releases a Bride figure as a companion for Frankenstein in the near future. That version of the Bride, with the long red coat, the four arms, and overall Aeon Flux vibe, was AWESOME.

Great review, Brad, but where is the height comparison? I realize this is the first action figure of the DC iteration of Frankenstein ever made, but could we at least see how tall he is as compared to other action figures, likes Supes, Bats, etc.? Scale is important, especially b/c Todd has messed up the height of his figures in the past (Swamp Thing and Atrocitus were too tall, for example).

Swamp Thing has the ability to grow 3 times that McFarlane scale. His figure is great! Best Swampy fig EVERR!🥰

I love that Todd is doing such deep cuts into the dc lore. I know a lot of deep cut characters in DC because of the DCUC line, so the idea that a kid now could get a deep knowledge because of Todd’s toys gives me hope.

Everyone is always surprised Mcfarlane made Frankenstein, but really, even though he’s not a well know. DC character, he’s a VERY well known pop culture icon and a cool monster. Who could resist putting out a figure like that?

About 13 Mega Figs have been released and purchase-able at the time of me typing this. And still somehow no comic book base Darkseid, no Anti Monitor, and no Doomsday. But, we got Seven Soldiers of Victory Frankenstein. Geez, the decisions of Todd. We also have no comic book based base Wonder Woman, no Sinestro (or other Lantern corps leaders), no Two Face, no comic book based Penguin, no comic book based Riddler, no Poison Ivy, only about to get Mr. Freeze, no classic Scarecrow, no Cyborg Superman, no Black Manta (though we're about to get flooded with that), no Metallo, no Cheetah, no Ares, no Dr. Sivana, only about to get Supergirl and she's based on a video game appearance. But, we have a Grifter already?, and Batrocitus, and Speeding Bullets Batman, and the Endless Winter wave?, and Hush, about 6 different Red Hoods, 3 Black Adams from the movie alone, and Hazmat Batman from one story you either read or didn't?! Priorities, Todd. Priorities.

Ya rushed that comment hey lol. Also todds license isnt forever, he has to get sales up in the beginning before going into obcsure characters. As demonstrated by your scenario, but todd is probly doing too much at once. Se la vi. I think if u put 100 people in toms shoes, the job gets done a 100 different ways. Its not so bad.

Yeah it might seem strange making Frankenstein a superhero but remember DC also made Uncle Sam a superhero too. Good looking figure but never been interested in a Frankenstein figure, DC or non-DC so i'll pass on this one. Still, great looking figure and sculpt. Todd's been doing some great stuff.

I just hate how big he is. He snot that huge in the comics like at all. He's a regular scale guy. And the figure really does not represent the comics like at all. The o ly thing he has is the vest and the sword. Like he's not that dark in skin color and he's not this big compared to other characters. It bugs me so much because this figure could of been great if he was 7 inch instead of the hulking size he is because this figure doesn't scale now with any other dc figures. He barely even scales with other mcfarlane figures. This figure bums me ojt because in the comics he's so awesome. Oh well. It's just a shame

A quick google of frankenstein batman shows frank bigger. Sometimes not crazy huge, but this figure is super close, more than if he was 7inch that would make the same size. The skin is lighter buuuut its really not that much of a big deal. His look overall is spot on.
