I love this figure. I recently got mine from amazon this week, and I'm quite impressed. The original release is already way too much for my wallet, so this was quite a welcome figure. As for the sheathe, I heated the holes they go into with a blow dryer and they slipped in without putting unnecessary stress on the pegs. I also got the new Sub-Zero Purple variant to pair with this figure.

It was available on amazon for a while in late January 2021, in the first week of February 2021, it was temporarily out of stock so I just ordered bloodied Raiden. And now he’s gonna be available on amazon until the end of March which I can’t wait that long so I ordered the scorpion from the 2 pack with Raiden since I need a scorpion in my collection. And now today, March 6th 2021, it finally arrived to my home when I came back from work, and the swords haven’t broke on me inside the box.

No, the peg on my standard Scorpion sheath broke as well. Not from plugging it in, but from it being put away for a bit. Don't know how that happened. The larger sword has also broke on mine, but a little loctite goes a long way.

I bought three fMcFarlane MK figures a couple days ago, haven't opened them yet, hope they survive. I had a few figures from NECA that i put in ziplock bags, acid-free and stored them away. When i got them out to sell them last year, Kratos' ankles both broke and a Predator had his wrist blades fall off......really strange. I guess the plastic is just too brittle that both McFarlane and NECA use.

@@DMSL2007 Ya my Predator wrist blades got bent in the package now I can't separate them when they are extended. Also, the hinges to open the panel to the self-destruct sequence snapped when I tried to open it. the Plasma caster's bottom hinge snapped, so I had to glue it and now I can only move the ball joint. They definitely use thin plastic for those parts, but the rest of it seems pretty durable. That's sucks that the ankles broke on Kratos though.

I agree too, not a big fan of the recolors of these Mortal Kombat figures. For example, i have the Frozen Over Subzero and I get him confused with Reptile because of the green coloration. I understand though repaints are easier for Mcfarlane instead of making fully new sculpts

Absolutely awesome review. Down to the most minute detail. My Smolder variant went through that exact problem and I ordered this variant as it can be displayed with various characters outside of the MK universe. I’m waiting for a variant that can look up and to the side better

In order to put the sword sheaths in the hole is to heat up the waist piece is and put the sheaths in very carefully.

About the breakage, you're supposed to put the sheath on his hip and leave it there. It's so tight, because it's not supposed to come back out. Putting it in and taking it out over and over with such a tight socket leads to this

This is a pretty good Scorpion figure in terms of sculpt, details and paint application. However, the plastic that was utilized is simply way too cheap. I understand that companies want to save money, but not at the expense of consumers. You should get what you pay for and this is definitely not it. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. My peg broke in the exact place yours did on the top two straps and as well, I was trying to put it into the hole on the figure and in wouldn’t push in so I gave it a little bit more pressure and it just like snapped back

i want a scorpion but all the recolors so far have been inferior to the original, which is now absurdly expensive as for if i'd buy a recolor? yes! but only if i like the character and the recolor/variant looks good.

I swapped with my friend my mk11 spawn for an original yellow mk11 scorpion last week. best trade I've made. i really love this figure and have no issues with it. I think it was seeing just how cool scorpion looked in the mortal kombat trailer that sparked my interest in getting it even though it's the game version. its only a matter of time before mcfarlane does MK movie figures as those new justice league movie figures are looking really good. Just geek has a sale on mcfarlane mortal kombat figures just now...i need a sub zero that doesn't cost an arm and leg which coincidentally is probably the accessories that come with sub zero😂😂😂 Good review👍

It seems like McFarlane has been using cheaper and cheaper plastics for quite a few figures in this and the dc multi verse line. Its that same cheap plastic bigfigs used to use. The sculpting and engineering seems to be getting better while the quality is going down. The first time I really noticed was comparing the white knight wave figures against the flash 2 pack. Not a good idea to use such shit plastic on speedsters. Minor leg posing can create crazy stress marks and in the red deaths figures case the joints that attach and move the legs can just bend and snap right off.

I picked him up 37 days ago from Target for $19.99. He's 140 g. I was never able to get his sword holders attached to his belt. It gave me stress mark so I stopped.

Sh-OW Kahn, not Shay-O. The plastic on these Scorpion figures are terrible. I have a the repaints. I successfully got all the scabbards plugged in except for the first Variant version it snapped without any pressure being out on it.

Do not pop the head off, the neck is a super hard plastic, the peg is a t handle that connects the neck, hood, and faceplate, my original one popped off and I had to dremel the neck to put the peg back on, so I highly prefer the storm collectibles.
