Not only that, we still need kitana and mileena. Storm collectibles also had a prototype of the scorpion based off of his design from Mortal Kombat X and they have yet to get the approval to release the MKX scorpion and the same can go for injustice Batman and Superman.

Gently twist the arms loose, then warm up the torso to remove the shirt. Can use exacto knife to remove awkwardly high waisted pants above the belt line and tada... Classic looking Liu Kang!

I think its proportions are way out of wack. Head is too small, torso and thighs are way too big

Not so much if you think of him wearing baggy pants. Because the shirt covers a torso, the thickness of that is making his chest seem much bigger. That really isn't much of an excuse because it's not meant to be removed.

I can confirm that if you pop off the arms and head that you can remove the shirt. It is sitting on top of a torso. There is a problem though. The lower torso is not sculpted like on the shirtless variants. The pants though kind covers some of what would be lower abs. So in exchange for the look and more upper torso articulation, the trade off is that undeveloped lowers abs and the Mcfarlane cut(you guys know what it is). Articulation, some post of Facebook go on and on about how it's expecting too much for the price point or they'd rather have the sculpt over a bit more articulation. Or "How much range do you need". In the end I think these are excuses that don't have weight. The figures can have the sculpt and a wider range of articulation. They just need to put in some slots and increase the size of the "Diaper". The diaper get's in the way of the leg range. The shirt gets in the way of the torso articulation. If they want to keep the shirt then let the lower torso have more range to compensate. There is not reason outside the modelers need to put in research and Mcfarlane needs to get some new molds made.
