McFarlane Toys OMEGA Batman: Last Knight on Earth DC Multiverse Action Figure Review

Todd apparently loves him some Batman storylines and with this one we get one of the best releases from the company for the DC 7 inch line. Will it be good enough, though, for collectors to get another Bat-related figure?

I’ve personally given up on Todd doing classic versions and have accepted that he’s gonna do what he likes, which is fair. I’ve dedicated a shelf to strictly McFarlane DC, showing off some of Todd’s better figures but still separate from the iconic versions of the characters.

Mr. Tod McFarlane got to the conclusion that he loves Batman and if he loves Batman everyone else has to love it too and if he loves Batman and would love to own an entire action figure collection made of somewhat articulated Batman figures it's obvious everyone would love to own one too henceforth McFarlane Toys is releasing more Batman figures then you can deal with. The name of the line should be changed into DC Batman Multiverse. I 100% agree with your critics, thanks for the review Anthony.

I haven't always been the biggest McFarlane fan, but I will give him props on what he's doing with his latest lines. I went from having "a few" McFarlanes in my collection, to "many" seemingly overnight. I bought this one mainly for the closed fists he comes with. I can use them with my Flashpoint Batman. As for Batman being over-done... I would say yes, but it makes sense. He's giving us figures from various Batman comic story lines that have not been done before and I dig it... and for now, his figures are VERY affordable. He's getting his monies worth out of the license, that's for sure. I can't wait to get my hands on that "killing joke" Joker

I think Mcfarlane’s Batman figures are “Just Ok!” Many of them are a hit or miss. At times the proportions are structurally awkward. Additionally, the ankle joints and poor articulation in the abdominal area extracts the potential for accretion from his figures, not to mention awkward thigh cuts. Yet, he has definitely improved the multiverse line when compared to his first Batman release!

I don’t mind all the Batmen when we are getting some cool alternate versions. The Drowned, Red Death and Murder Machine are fun imo. Not a fan of how McFarlane does most of the knee and elbow joints. But you can’t have everything, I guess. Also, thanks for that video you did a while back about the Action Statue Fist of the North Star Kenshiro. I ended up getting him despite your review proving some of my doubts right. But he poses up really well and the weird shoulders can be hidden fairly decently by using posing and angles. I actually really like him. I keep fiddling with him, trying to find the right bad guy to pose him with so he can be all ”You’re already dead and don’t even know”

There is a reason to why we’re getting these Batman stuff. 90% of the stuff McFarlane is doing was created by the duo Scott Snyder and Greg CAPULLO. Now ol’ Toddy boy has a sweet spot for Mr.Jacked boldhead (Greg) since he drew Todd’s power fantasy (Spawn) for multiple years. This is his way of repaying him in a way? I mean I’m one of the biggest fan of the work of the duo and I’m extremely happy with the stuff I’ve gotten thanks to Todd, cuz most of it would probably never come from any company (excluding DC collectibles), but it won’t lie, it’s pretty over bloated.

I gotta agree with you, I've always been a Batman fan, But Superman is my ultimate fav. But, goddamn, how about a Deadman action figure or Zatanna, Amazo, Black hand, or the new Wonder girl. Tons of characters out there, love to see those in my collection. Hell, while they're at it, Add Dream and Death from the sandman series as well.

Alright before watching this video, here’s one thing that already bothers me about this figure, the thighs are a bit too short, the shins are a bit too long. The hands being at the crotch is accurate but I feel like they either made the torso too short and therefore his arms are also a bit too short. But it does definitely look cool.

DC Multiverse McFarlane Figures are the type I don't bother opening because I hate the ankles So keeping them in the box and on my wall is fine.

That ab and ankle articulation is... Interesting. He's a cool lookin' fig though. Would like to get one if only to paint him in the Batman Beyond color scheme and see how it looks.

I really dislike the McFarlane DC stuff. I dislike the balljoints on the wrists and ankles. The articulations seem to suck. There hasn't been a single figure that I have wanted to buy. These do not compare well next to Hasbro or other companies. I wish DC would fins another company to take care of its license.

I can't get over how tiny his head looks. Even japanese imports get that wrong many times. You can "fix" that by posing it dynamically, but you shouldn't have to. Regarding your question, I really love Batman as a character and it's obviously an amazing property since it has allowed for such a wild range of different versions of Batman's lore, many of them interesting. However, DC has relied too damn much on Batman and I find all these different versions ridiculous. The situation was bad before but it really got ridiculous with Scott Snyder's Metal stuff nonsense.
