I have the real/actual Older 12 inch tall version. I had to return this (the on on the video) . I thought it would actually be 12 inches tall like my older version..

This is basically a re release of the Wings of Redemption 2005 statue. The only difference is the original is much taller and the paint app is similar to the smaller version.

I have the original release from 2005. Unfortunately, i no longer have the (admittedly cheap) base and holding peg for the foot which absolutely pails in comparison to the base for this one, but it's BEAUTIFUL as a standalone piece. The only problem I have with the 2005 release is that, as was stated in the video, it's very temperamental when it comes to it standing up by itself because of the wing design/weight. Overall, this is a very nice re-release though. But where it fails in my opinion is that I don't think it quite has the depth-of-detail that the original has. And the vibrancy of the red in the new statue takes away for the "realism" of the piece...making it feel much more comic book-like as well as them "cleaning up" the wings and taking away the applications that made them look a bit dirty and the suit accents feel rust-covered.

Does the new statue have a soft plastic like the previous one?
