My favourite song so far off the album. It reminds me of that buzz you feel when you're at a live show. And that's a really important thing to have during a time when you can't get to a live show. Being able to get a taste of that energy and adrenaline, it's just enough to keep you going in this gig drought.

eles não deixam adicionar legenda nos vídeos então eu transcrevi pra voce :D ta na ordem certinha do vídeo. tom: 'growing up' é uma música que eu não contruibuí muito, pra ser honesto. dougie tinha essa ideia há muito tempo, eu lembro que ele tocava isso pra gente muito tempo atras quando a gente se encontrava durante os ultimos anos, quando nós nem estavamos fazendo nada (musicalmente). dougie: durante o verão de 2019, eu estava na minha sala e queria muito escrever uma musica animada, rapida e feliz, mas não tinha muito mais do que isso. tom: acho que ele queria terminar essa musica ha bastante tempo e agora... ele é amigo do mark hoppus haha. dougie: eu tava trocando mensagem com o mark hoppus um dia e pedi dicas pra ele um conceito, sobre o que escrever pra musica e o mark disse que podia ser sobre a emoção de estar no palco e 5mins depois disso eu escrevi o refrão de 'growing up'. harry: eu lembro que era eu, danny e dougie falando sobre o verso da musica, e o jordan (ratboy) tava junto e perguntamos pra ele o que ele faria e ele pegou uma guitarra e tocou o riff que vem depois da intro, foi a primeira coisa que ele tocou e foi tipo: é isso. dougie: a gente enviou todos os arquivos pro mark hoppus finalizar a musica e ele enviou de volta com um verso com a voz dele falando ainda mais sobre como é incrivel estar numa banda e como é o melhor trabalho do mundo. danny: a gente queria algo energetico, que a gente chama de 'ritmo de pular', queriamos uma musica que as pessoas pulassem junto. dougie: estar numa banda e principalmente estar no palco, voce se perde na imersão do show e quanto mais voce se diverte, mais voce pula que nem um idiota, e eu acho que isso sempre foi 'a coisa do mcfly', o quanto a gente consegue se divertir no palco e eu queria escrever uma musica sobre isso. danny: essa musica é incrivel, tem uma energia muito boa pros fãs, eu acho que ao vivo vai ser demais, quando pudermos tocar ao vivo de novo. é uma musica importante pro album. tom: o que eu amo sobre 'growing up' é que a gente cresceu ouvindo o mark hoppus, ouvindo blink-182 e agora a gente escreveu uma musica sobre crescer com a participação do mark hoppus. parece destino! ♥
