people who say "It's auto tune" is ignorate... They are using a pitch corrector filter. its like on your phone using auto exposure for the camera. It changes on the fly, hense "AUTO tune" a pitch correction is more complicated and has programmed pitches... So it makes sure that everyone sings all in key. You CAN sing out of tune with Auto tune, it just normalizes fluctuations. if dougie sings a E and Tom a Db, the E will just be normalized and the Db will be shifted to a D (for example), while the pitch corrector, would bring them both to the same note (lets say its a G) its more professional than autotune. the more you know the further you go. major labels throw pitch correcting shit on almost any pro concert videos. Great cover though!

it's not fraudulent at all. Half the time its out of the artists control whether or not it's used. Most time it's the labels, or the promoter of the show. In modern days, almost every band is thrown through vocal processors even if it's minor. It's basically like a tool or an instrument, like a synth, or a keyboard set. it's not very uncommon for bands like these... well most pop-boy bandish bands just ditch the whole singing bit and lip sync. Just be glad McFly a) sings (processed or not), and plays their own music. Not hit "play" on the ipod and singing to a backing track. If you don't like it go listen to bands that say "our show is all natural, no click tracks, no processing!" and listen to their off beat, out of key asses try to put on a show.

I dont think it is bad thing to use for studio recording or production. But this is supposed to be a LIVE show, the fact that it is common to be used by shitty bands doen't quite make it legitimate. I wouldnt be listening to this if it wasn't a QUEEN cover...it just makes me sad cause real artists are dying, it just shows lack of talent/vocal technique and to be honest, it sounds bad to my ear. It is my personal opinion, but it is just sad that music industry has been taken over by artificialness and talentless people. I know it is not... but it feels like "cheating" to me.

like i stated earlier. It's probably done by the promoter or the label... The side of music that wants it "pretty" not "pure". Plus I've been told Matt Willis isn't exactly pitch perfect, making harmonies sound bad. The promoter processed the voice to make it "pleasant". If you watch a crowd cam version it doesnt sound processed. Most time this shit is done in post for the broadcast of it. Shinedown for example has shows with dubbed studio vocals (kiss too) but people who went to the concert said he was infact singing live. Its not like 100% fake 100% of the time. I hardly blame bands anymore when i hear this in multi cam pro shot live videos.
