This thing with Mag is absolutely nasty. The secondary fire has an absolutely busted amount of body punch through, so firing the burst into a Mag bubble is busted as hell :D

GunCO being multiplicative is a bug, so there's inconsistencies, but you got it right for most cases. Apparently the problem comes from how with hitscan weapons you can do the entire damage calculation on hit, but projectiles are assigned their damage when spawned, so GunCO is only added in later after all other bonuses when you actually hit the enemy and can then determine how many statuses they have.

I've honestly always liked this thing and it's felt wild to me that nobody talks about it. Like, the Cyanex is literally years ahead of its time, it was a homing explosive weapon with a secondary fire to do single target DPS with a fan-the-hammer style clip-emptying burst fire. People would lose their minds if this came out today, but I think people just... underestimate it because of its crit stats, I assume? I don't know. It's good and fun and honestly really strong and it feels nice and I never see anyone else use it. Also: This thing is utterly amazing in the Circuit with a couple of decrees for fire rate, reload, and status propagation, like completely and totally buckwild busted. Just, be sure to put ammo mutation or something on it, because it's the Circuit, and this gun's ammo economy isn't great, which means you WILL just kind of run out after a while if you're not careful.

This series has been great for reminding me and rekindling my love for certain weapons or for trying out weapons I never gave too much a look at. And it’s because of this series that I sorely wish that DE had an option to favorite weapons so that they appear at the top of your arsenal when your swapping between them. I have hundreds of weapons among the three main weapon types. Weapons I even like to use often tend to get lost as I’m scrolling through which ones I want to play and sometimes forgotten

I had my eye on the Cyanex when it first came out because it looked SO cool! But then I got it and was at first put off due to the weird projectiles, the strange combo of elements, and the absolute lack of crit. It eventually grew on me and I even ended up with a Riven for it to try messing around with it, and eventually I made a decent build for faffing about but that was it. Maybe I should also go back and touch up my build with the new toys we got now-a-days :P

I believe this is the second weapon that you've showcased that works well with Mag's bubble. The secondary fire has infinite body punch through and, unlike most weapons or abilities with infinite punch through, the amount of times it can hit isn't capped. It absolutely shreds when fired at a large group inside of Mag's 2.

Empowered is usually best on weapons that have really low base damage but very high status output (high status chance and good firerate. Bonus points if it has some base multishot as well)

When I first got cyanex I just wanted to level it up, no potato, no forma and just yeet it off my ship cos I didn't think it would be very good. Turns out it works quite a lot like one of my favourite weapons from another game, as in Needler from Halo. Just no explosion, only gas cloud. And, the more I played with it, the more I liked it. First I just thought, cool, homing projectiles on a secondary, I only need to shoot at the gardinal direction of the enemy and they will all die, which is extremely useful when playing with Yareli and riding on merulina. Small AoE damage on hit works well with her fourth as well. Just remember to equip ammo mutation mod cos I like to use sea snares augment, which gives that 200% fire rate and reload speed for secondary, makes you go brrrr and chew through all ammo insanely fast.

Been using the Cyanex w Scourge Prime and grouping tools and have had some very fun results with electric/heat. Adding headshot conditionals makes the gun hilariously effective. (Edit) forgot that adding Arcane Pistoleer to your loadout with the Scourge is ludicrous.

I was messing about with the Nagantaka earlier and it reminds me a lot of this with the mag dumping. The inconsistency of GunCO does annoy me sometimes. Why is the Nagantaka not multiplicative? It's a projectile with travel time, isn't it? I rolled the Cyanex last week for my EDA loadouts but I hadn't even put a potato in it. Maybe it's time?
