There is also a high school called Macdonald High School on the other side of John Abbott (I went there). There is so much history to all of those buildings, for example the trees around the John Abbott football field are for each of the students from Macdonald Campus who died during WW2. I love St-Anne’s, it’s so beautiful!

That was the most complete review of Mac campus ever done , and it’s recent because the rainbow flag is visible in cc, and the highlight is that it has high school vibes.

Thank you for showing me the Mac Campus. Buildings have remained unchanged since 1990s when I did MSc. It reminds me of my past time spent there.

Great video! Covered majority of the spots at Mac campus!!! :D The Mac farm and the arboretum is also worth a visit!!

thank you! I'll be sure to check them out next time im there.

The arboretum is absolutely beautiful, but be mindful of what time of year you visit it because the mosquitoes are absolutely ruthless although you definitely won’t need to worry about them now.

I go to Mac! I wish I could have shown you around! You can actually go inside those greenhouses any day and see all types of succulents/ tropical plants/ the fish pond. Also there is Mac market by eco rez where you can get a huge bag of local produce for 20$ on Fridays! Another cool thing is that there is the "goat house" from the show blue mountain state that is located by campus! And also yeah living in Laird for U0 and partying at the Ceilidh pub on thursday nights where they play mostly country music was def a really different experience than downtown haha. Glad I lived there first year, but happy I moved downtown after.

Hi. Nice review. I am going to start my PhD in Microbiology this fall (Mac Campus). Can I ask for some information? Thanks

The farm is always worth a visit. The CEGEP also has a pool and spots complex. John Abbott also has a residence hall I’m not sure if it’s Laird or another building. It’s fun going to Mac campus, it’s a nice break from everything hustle and bustle

I love your videos! Although this doesn’t pertain to Mac campus I was wondering if there were any people last year who lived in upper Rez but weren’t super into the party/clubbing scene? Thanks so much!
@juliettelaviet36895 жыл бұрын
Hi I’m currently in Upper Rez and I can tell you that you’ll find people who share similar interests as you;) Also people don’t force you to party if you don’t want to, so don’t worry 😉 Hope that helps
@sophiacooke70575 жыл бұрын
Yeah thanks so much! You wouldn’t say it would make it harder to make friends if I don’t plan on going out clubbing a ton?
@juliettelaviet36895 жыл бұрын
Sophia Cooke If going to clubs isn’t your thing, then don’t push yourself to hang out with those who do;) During Frosh, I felt like I did not fit in but then I met so many people who just like to hangout sometimes, watch a movie and chill. Just know that you’ll meet tons of people and you won’t be the only person who doesn’t really like to go out partying:) Upper rez is a social and fun place and I promise you’ll find people with similar interests. Ps: I advise you to try several bars and other places (doesn’t have to be clubs) during fall. Montreal has a wife variety of fun places to go to, I personally found great bars even though I’m not a party-type girl

Sophia Cooke honestly you make friends everywhere you go. A lot of the people you live around are gonna be your good friends, and you meet people in the study room or common room. There are so many of my friends who don’t go out.
