I saw that machine when looking for one when I got my GW one. Looked fantastic but at a bigger price tag. Was wondering if you took measurements from both and compared to setup your chart or if he provided one

Hey Jim, you've obviously put this "thru its paces" by now, I'm considering getting one for my shop, any pro's/ cons would be greatly appreciated!

Awesome content. Your ability to use those types of machines astounds me. I do not have that technical confidence. Great Job!

If you were looking for speed and consistency, why did you not use a frequency analyzer with a pneumatic clamp? I've used one set to 40 psi for ungripped, 60 psi for gripped. Also, what is the difference between gripped and ungripped when you pull numbers? I use 14 cpm difference.

I have a few questions I would really appreciate if you could help me with as I’m fairly new to golf. 1. What’s your opinion on small manufacturer’s clubs? Maltby, gigagolf, wishon. 2. I’m 6’4 and I believe have a 38” wrist to floor measurement. (Measured it myself) What length and lie angle would you recommend? 3. What shaft would you recommend for someone who carries a 33 degree 7 iron around 150? Thank you so much for your help

If a shaft was cut an inch. Does it make the shaft stiffer?
@TheKeenej3 жыл бұрын
Jim, do you prefer to use the club heads when you check your frequency instead of the clamp tip? It would make sense to me to use the heads you are checking. Your thoughts.

Curious on this as well. I would think you would get different readings for different weights, and to dial in CPM measurement you would want to use the specific club head? But I’m not sure on this so would love some insight from Jim. Thanks!!

Where do I buy the laser that slides on the shaft when you do the shaft flexing?
@wrenchracer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, I have learnt a lot from all your posts and look forward to them. I have a question about the frequency machine. I have just bought the same. I am confused how to use the golf works charts in conjunction with the frequency analyser. Do I use the 105g weight on a bare shaft. Or do I use the club head for each? Grip on?? I can go from A flex to S flex with same shaft depending on configuration. Any help if you get some spare time would be appreciated. Regards Alex. Aust.
@McGolf3 жыл бұрын
I would use the head of the club as it’s the actual part. 105 weight is for profiling IMO. I doubt you can get from an A to an S in any shaft.

I’ve been using the Auditor Frequency Analyzer for years. The same machine was also branded as Golfsmith. Do not use with a grip installed. The grip “absorbs” the shaft vibrations and gives incorrect readings.

@@briansgolfworks4991 as far as pulling a frequency with gripped or ungripped, you almost need to build a matrix of your own. Measure ungripped, then grip club with one wrap of tape- measure, two wraps- measure. Also not a bad idea to do it with different grips and sizes as well. I use 14 cpm difference gripped and ungripped, and can get pretty close with a gripped club, however I prefer to measure ungripped, because the grip does alter the force of the clamp. Also, have used a pneumatic clamp... 40 psi ungripped, 60 psi gripped with regular grip one wrap of tape. Cheers
@kylenathe4073 Жыл бұрын
@@briansgolfworks4991is the difference very inconsistent? I’ve heard recently it’s roughly 10 cpm for a standard size rubber 50ish gram grip. So you’d add 10 to that reading to get what it would be w/o grip
@briansgolfworks4991 Жыл бұрын
@patrickzinuticzjr.3977 The manufacturer recommends checking frequency on an unwrapped shaft. I'll go with their recommendation. Anything else is a guess. A Winn, Superstroke or Golf Pride CPX will give an entirely different reading than a Golf Pride Tour Velvet. We buy equipment to get accurate readings, not to base guesstimate off.

Wich cpm chart do you use to see the flex? because on this machine I dont have the cpm number as fujikura cpm machine, thanks a lot
@McGolf2 жыл бұрын
My unit provides a CPM after the calibration cycle is complete. Ive used a calibrated chart for years and re cal'd when I got the new machine. However Golfworks has a chart that works well.

Hi Jim , let me know if you would like to sell your now redundant club scout clamp.

I watched this video and for the life of me I can not figure out why you are doing this. Don't the shafts have the flex written on them already, and what do those darn numbers mean anyways. Thanks.
@McGolf3 жыл бұрын
shafts are certainly designated at a flex from the maker. However each maker determines how they measure it and to what profile they prefer. I.e. there is no standard. then there are tolerances that when making bulk can get "out of tolerance" finally its to make the each club same with respect to the swing
