Beautiful song, beautifully performed. Can't say which version is more perfect, this one or Mary Hopkin's - and it always reminds me of 'Big Black Smoke' by The Kinks. Young runaways go to the bright lights of the big city and get trapped in drugs and prostitution. It's a timeless theme of innocence lost and hard life lessons learned. Brilliant job, you guys. Thank you.

@@toddblanks I enjoyed reading your post. You've got it bad, and that's good! Like you, I used to own every record ever recorded. No Beatles in your list of serious prog? Sgt. Peppers and Abbey Road were not too shabby...'I Am the Walrus' and 'Blu Jay Way' from MMT... groundbreaking... and perhaps 'Revolver' fired up the whole engine and paved the way for this outpouring with tracks like Tomorrow Never Knows.

@@DavidCKendall Moonage Daydream mentioned the Beatles and Stones. They're right between the Kinks and Argent. (I wish Roxy Music had been on the list. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year - 2019.)
