For those trying to choose between Hyacinth and Ice Creamsicle switches, here’s a detailed comparison: How loud are they? Hyacinth: Rated at a soft, 4/10 in terms of loudness. Ice Creamsicle: Slightly louder with a wetter sound at 5.5/10. (I prefer the sound of the Hyacinth switch because it's creamier and softer.) Which one feels better to type on? Both switches feel amazing to type on but Ice Creamsicle's bottom out feels more satisfying than Hyacinth's. From all the switches I've tested this far, I'd say both of them sit on the top in terms of tactility but Ice Creamsicle wins this one for me. Build Quality: Ice Creamsicle: Occasionally, there's a tiny, barely noticeable ping, possibly from the spring (or the unique actuation mechanism). Conventional lubing of the stem isn’t as effective due to its unique build, though lubing wouldn't be necessary on this switch because the friction is reduced thanks to that two-step linear actuation mechanism they use. Hyacinth: No noticeable ping, and unlike Ice Creamsicle, are closer to the conventional cherry design, making them easier to lube and mod. Overall, both switches are incredibly satisfying to type on, but personally, I'd rate KTT's Hyacinth higher than Kailh's Ice Creamsicle.
