A small tip that wasn't mentioned is that Aba can hat a minion, merc, etc.. near an allied Hero and the Hero will receive the 2nd hat once you've taken Hivemind at 20. This is useful if the Hero is alone.

Im master too and aba is my main. Important is, that this build isnt always the best. You had a healer, you could go full dmg instead of shield and go on artanis for example and another amaizing underrated talent is the shield on the clone on 20... in this matchup i would skill like that ... 1:W, 4:Attackspeed, 7:Q , 10:Clone , 13:Q , 16:E or W, 20 : Cloneshield. Go on artanis, do most dmg -> easily mvp. I will not say your build is bad, but people will see that and think this is always the build to go, but it‘s not... it‘s depending on situations, map and matchup

Ooga Booga Booga! Probably the best way to explain why Adrenaline Boost is such a good talent. I don't recall you saying anything about Monstrosity, but might've missed it, but is there ever an instance to take Monstrosity? I keep arguing that it's a bad talent, but curious what a higher ranked player thinks.

i really like it if the enemy doesnt have good global or waveclear and i think i get more value healing my carry than cloning him. The rest of the build should be the same so you can heal your monstrosity and give it movement speed.

I don’t think it’s a bad ultimate but the team fight strength you bring and the ability to push with certain heroes because of it is too much value. Think of all the kills I would have missed this game if I didn’t take evo. Just hard to argue for it when you can so heavily argue against it

Monstrosity works better in QM, letting you push out 2 lanes while hatting the team fight. An organised team will just kill it as soon as you leave it to afk push and then you lack that extra body for the team fights. In QM though, doesn't happen nearly as often, and half the time you don't have proper team fights. But I doubt you will enjoy using it in TL. Kinda nice when a fully stacked monstrosity just AFK kills a keep though..

@@Sylfa, I feel that the Monstro is too reliant on getting stacked up and being babysat before it becomes effective, which takes away your presence in teamfights, so I hear what you're saying. I was just curious what higher level players had to say.

@@trevskica1284 I believe the latest patch made the scaling flatter and boosted its unstacked state, the problem there being that I think it lost out in the fully scaled state so it's effectively a nerf to using it properly (and a boost to just blindly activating it and then forgetting about it). Also I'm not sure I'd qualify as a higher level player :P He was my highest character until recently though.

I wouldn't have gone with the multi shield personally, as soon as your hat is gone they disappear even though the main one stays. It's good for bigger maps or if you stay on a minion wave till the front shields are gone, then you can do it again. Plus with the double hat talent, you get at least 2 shields anyway.

Yoann Yo twin Varian, Morales with boost and that talent is a really fun thing to do. I don’t think it’s possible to pull off in ranked tho

Maybe, but what happens when varian dies? Because you linked abathur to varian so much, then if varian dies it's like abathur is out of the way as well; essentially taking 2 people out. Ofc that s if he dies, if he successfully did his job as solo carry then the comp and start worked. But that s what i mean, do you take that risk of tying yourself to varian or illidan or tracer with lvl4 attack speed, or take lvl4 e and be useful on more than just that 1 character.

If you sit behind the wall do you still get the xp? Also if you put hat on minion and switch does it still give the xp if your not controlling it? I feel like I have to spend the whole time with hat on team but not on waves

If the enemy minion is within your vision radius when it dies, you get the xp. If it's outside of your vision range but your attack kills it, like when you control a minion and your ability lands the killing blow, you get xp. When your locust lands the killing blow on a minion, you get xp. Minion kills while you're not in control but your shield is still on does not grant xp. I can't remember for sure, but I think you don't get xp for minion kills that happen in your hat's vision radius. You definitely don't get xp for minion kills that happen near your locust, you only get the benefit of the locust pushing.

I still think keeping yourself alive for those few seconds is vital to the characters design. If your team is a 1 shot comp and you need that extra burst ontop of all the lead CC (think kerrigan/etc or something) guillotine can be value, but you turn into a machine gun when you are 0 health and can 100-0 someone, post 20 get full heal too, and bait the enemy into standing around while you hit them and get hit by your team. It's like iceblock where you can move, OP!

@@roi7108 I believe what your seeing is the random walking that higher level players tend to do, he's not thinking about it just scanning map and while hes doing that he's randomly clicking to make it harder to hit him. Noticed him doing it behind a wall for instance while talking. It *can* be a sign that your trying to move when hat is up but it didn't seem like that was the case, if you send a movement command while using your ultimate ability and it dies/times out you might send a move command to your main body. It's always a good idea to hit S for stop after it ends for that reason (or Space to see your main body then adjust as necessary). It's more common if your using Monstrosity since you hat/unhat that a lot if you use it. If my explanation doesn't seem to be correct then send a timestamp, but ofc I can only really guess since I'm not him :)

@@roi7108 Oh they *are* cancelled, but if you have a bit of lag, or if your doing that 100 clicks per second move and just can't stop in time, you can send a movement command through after the hat falls off/evolution dies. Which results in Abathur happily starting to walk to where the action was going on. It happened a lot more earlier on though, so they might have done something to fix that. Either way, it's a silly way to get killed so make sure to avoid doing it :)

Best game I saw, 2 lane map (mines) and he goes out and sits in mid, forcing his locust to go back through mid gate, then up to top lane, then despawn before reaching lane. He sat there whole game, less xp than anyone and 0 value anywhere.
