@@jakethegamer1227 All I'm saying is I remember the tension between them but I just assumed it was all part of the story. It was weird to find out later it was real. And I think that is a part of what made the show great,. He kept the lines between reality and fiction very blurry.

Those videos were some of my favorite videos to watch when I was younger. When I watched this video to find out that the videos were fake, I wasn’t very surprised they did look fake but you tried to make it look so real. @@jamie_mask_west no, what shows that the audience was so young is that everyone sided with jesse throughout the series, but as we rewatch it today as were all grown, we all see his dad was never really wrong in his arguements. He just wanted what was best for jesse.

@@mikl12354kinda the opposite tbh, it’s a story of wrongdoings and a family slowly falling apart because of their psychotic father but Jesse was in the wrong too, and for the most part the fans who were kids actually hated Jesse as a character, it isn’t even the young kids who found it to be real since many of their comments would be “fake!” But people of all ages were tricked into thinking the series was real, so no psycho dad wasn’t a good father or husband or person and no the fans who bought into the reality of the story weren’t just little kids

Somehow the psycho series is almost unheard of nowadays but it was literally the biggest webseries ever, it beats iconic web shows like marble hornets and lonelygirl15 and somehow it’s not talked about as much, hats off to Jesse and the whole ridgeway family for this amazing 2 year show

Everyone thought it was real. Not only children, but fully grown adults & seniors. The adults were the ones making most of the cop calls. Anyone who says they “knew it was fake” are obviously lying after the fact.

Still crazy Jesse was able to pull it all off. It worked so well because you just couldn’t prove whether it was real or fake. The acting and story was so good and believable you just couldn’t help but believe it was real. We haven’t seen a series like it since, and I hold fond memories of it.

The issue is that the channel had its glory days and now the content is just stale. Look at the recent stuff. It's either copies of the old stuff like destroying an Xbox or trend riding and clickbait stuff like "my gf left me" followed by "begging for my exgf back" even though that content rightfully died out a couple years ago.

I watched the series. It was good. But, i can understand a few people who believed it was real, but i don't believe that more than like 10% of the people who watched it believed it was real. It was pretty freakin obvious it was fake from the beginning.. If everyone genuinely somehow believed it was real, then i have given society WAYYYY to much credit in having common sense!!
