It seems the main benefit to me would be to eliminate water spots during the drying stage since I wouldn't be working with tap water. However I previously solved that by keeping a few gallons of distilled water handy to sheet rinse the car. So I'm not sure this is better than foam-rinse-foam for me. I'm still thinking about it. It does however give me a way to clean my car in the garage during the winter. All is not perfect, though-I would have to come up with a way to keep the garage floor clean. Any tips?

I thought using a drying aide with graphene, SiO2, etc. will turn the drying towel hydrophobic and eventually will lose it's water absorption properties. Is there a drying aide which just leaves behind slickness & gloss no protection? (my car already has protection)
@sk8ordie46912 жыл бұрын
You can do another spray of rinseless or a detail spray and it’ll leave a very light layer of protection but not enough to mess up your towels, but if you use the rag company’s towel detergent rags to riches it’s designed to prevent your towels fibers from getting clogged with protection

Yvan, I’ve watched multiple videos in the past and present with your washing method. My question is regarding chemical decontamination using a rinseless wash. In my understanding, and correct me if I’m wrong, when you apply a chemical decon product, do you simply just rewash the panel with your sponge or microfiber media since the chemical is ph neutral. Or would you recommend flushing the product off the panel with a pump sprayer to avoid getting the chemical on your sponge/media to prevent dipping it back into the rinseless bucket?

That runoff is terrible for waterways, causing harm to wildlife, especially when phosphates are involved. It can be a pain to deal with, but it's generally a worthwhile step toward a cleaner ecosystem. Just need to find ways of using less water, like this rinseless method.
@Breese1472 жыл бұрын
@@chromo48 hmm weird when I used to wash before I got a car port all the water that drained near the grass made the grass greener and thicker over time. Supposedly the nitrogen in soaps helps promote growth for the grass. I definitely don’t think most wheel cleaners or cheap APCs are great for environment but I ceramic coated mine so wheel cleaners are a thing of the past.
@chromo482 жыл бұрын
@@Breese147 I know farmers will often use nitrogen fertilizers on crops to promote growth, so plants thrive on the process. The problem is when the nitrates run off into the water supply, potentially contaminating drinking water or making life difficult for fish. I've seen a lot of municipalities promoting the washing of cars on grass, rather than on pavement, to prevent runoff into storm drains.
