Say she doesn't give him a second chance, but she still files for a protective order. He gets pissed off and kills her. That protection restraining order is a laughing joke. I say that because the person can easily find out where you are and cause harm. Police take awhile to show up if you do call. Not like they can be there within a finger snap like a genie. The best thing to do is protect yourself. Have a weapon on you to protect yourself. That's the only way. Unless...of course they find a new victim to go after and abuse.

It takes a lot of courage and help to leave a husband who’s abusive, I know because I was in that situation almost 40 years ago, because of my Mother-in-Law I was able to get away, she rang my Dad telling him to come get me before her son got home. I loved my MiL just like my own Mom we had some great times together and I missed her the most. I did not even know that she knew that her son was knocking me around as he always made sure that no marks were ever visible, I never said a word. For a Muslim woman it’s even harder for them to leave because sometimes if not most of the time they do not have family support at all.

I'm so glad you had an ally in your MIL. I'm a survivor of DV. Finally left after hearing a .22 rifle bullet whiz by my ear. His Mother said, 'I told him not to hit you so much.' Seriously. No I think you’re mixing up Muslim women with a forced fed narrative without any actual research. A Muslim woman is actually, by Islamic law, covered and protected in all situations from birth to death, no matter what. I’ve never heard of any family giving up on their daughter because she was divorced, maybe you’re referring to some village in a foreign country that follows culture over Islam. Divorce amongst Muslim couples are on the rise and in almost every single case the woman has full support of her family .

The punishment "Life _with_ the possibility of parole" is _not_ an option when being charged with Capital Murder. Being charged with Capital murder and being found 'guilty' doesn't automatically mean he'll receive the 'Death Penalty', though. On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men.1 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner contact sexual violence, and/or intimate partner stalking with impacts such as injury, fearfulness, post-traumatic stress disorder, use of victim services, contraction of sexually transmitted diseases, etc.2 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. This includes a range of behaviors (e.g. slapping, shoving, pushing) and in some cases might not be considered "domestic violence." 1 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner.1 1 in 10 women have been raped by an intimate partner. Data is unavailable on male victims.1 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have been victims of severe physical violence (e.g. beating, burning, strangling) by an intimate partner in their lifetime.1 1 in 7 women and 1 in 18 men have been stalked by an intimate partner during their lifetime to the point in which they felt very fearful or believed that they or someone close to them would be harmed or killed.1 On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide.9 The presence of a gun in a domestic violence situation increases the risk of homicide by 500%.10 Intimate partner violence accounts for 15% of all violent crime.2 Women between the ages of 18-24 are most commonly abused by an intimate partner.2 19% of domestic violence involves a weapon.2 Domestic victimization is correlated with a higher rate of depression and suicidal behavior.2 Only 34% of people who are injured by intimate partners receive medical care for their injuries.2

@@mysteriousjz I saw women down their parameters, many of them get killed later by those husbands, they get blamed for staying with those men and choosing them, men like you love to blame women all times, first brainwash them to accept abusive men, then blame them when they get killed for choosing those men, no body should down to accept abusive, there is good men who never hit or abusive, and I if I has to choose dog or abusive partner, I will choose dog, he is more loyal and less harmful.using nature as excuse is lame attempt to stay as bad person, I saw men say its nature to rape women, its nature to cheat, its nature to hit and beat ....etc, every bad thing, they dont wants to stop doing it, they call it nature, while they call women evil for doing the same thing. its not nature to be abusive or bad husband.

Why is everyone avoiding mentioning the cause? The Muslim religion preaches that husbands have the right or really the obligation to beat their wives. Quran 4:34 Instructs men to beat their wives if they fear nushūzahunna, a word commonly understood to mean "their disobedience" or "their rebellion", though the exact meaning of the word is unclear (see Quran 4:128, which gives instructions to women who fear nushūzan from their husbands). The word 'beat' in the Arabic is daraba.[1] Although a small number of modern Islamic scholars, apologists, and activists have argued that the word daraba in the verse does not mean 'beat', the overwhelming majority stand with the Islamic tradition and the unimpeachable linguistic case that is made in agreeing that 'beating' is what the verse instructs. No Arabic dictionary or serious scholar has dissented from this consensus.
