My father owns a 12c and he absolutely loves it but the car is getting old and the value is getting lower so he purchased a used 675LT which is arriving in few weeks which I am so excited for it and I think McLaren and Porsche are the best car companies at the moment.

You talk like McLaren designed that engine from the ground up, which they didn't. They started with an engine design by Tom Walkinshaw Racing which was a version of Nissans VRH racing engine designed for use in the Indy Racing League. While they did change almost every parameter of the engine this is still different from designing an engine from the ground up

P.S. The engine is a Nissan VRH based engine, that was modified and had some changes done to the design by Ricardo and Mclaren.The engine is built by Ricardo, not Mclaren.

that's a good idea for their channel! Although with modern cars outside switching your tires if you have summer/weak AS on there, checking the anti freeze, and washing undercarriage for salt more reguarly, it's not as bad as it used to be (having lived in the snow for a very short time)

Eddie you confuse me, you dream about buying a 12C and yet you go out an buy a I8 that offers nothing... its a hybrid that offers nothing but cool doors? you can buy a 12C for slightly more than an I8 and if thats the case buy a regular A4 for you're year round car instead of an S4 and save the money there. If you really want a 12C as bad as you always say you want one, then just be smarter with your purchases and do it.

+Adamini Amazing cars, those. Man, you have good taste. The Mustangs I love are the 60's-70s, and the Rocket. I actually drive a '99 BMW 328I Coupe, with a 2.8l V6 and a five-speed manual. I put a Mishimoto air cone, a GT35 turbo kit, and a Remus Sports Exhaust on it. Now, It makes 303 to the wheel (My friend, who's a mechanic, helped me tune it and let me use a dyno). God it's fun, especially learning heel-to-toe downshifts. And despite the turbo, it gets 25 MPG on the highway. Unless I had a 675LT or a Miura, I wouldn't drive anything else.

You don't know anything about McLarens do you? About their hydraulic suspension that the 12c has and the 540/570s dont. Not to mention this has more power and bigger inside.

Chris Sorreda Let's be honest; unless this guy is constantly on the track, the hydraulic suspension and more power means nothing. There's people that own 675 LT's and only use 65% on public roads. The 12c was Mclaren introduction into the super car realm, and if I recall it didn't get to many good reviews. The 12c was to stiff, had constant understeer, and a computer that did everything for you. The 570s is Mclaren sports car and is easily the most comfortable and usable car. I would definitely take a car I can use 80% of its potential on the public roads over a car I have to half throttle all the time.

Porsche Collector literally every cf option possible (full engine bay, intake cover, front and rear diffusers, wheel arches and door sills, carbon backed seats, mirrors, interior, side blades, super light sport wheels which were about 10k alone, ceramic brakes, upgraded meridian sound, premium paint etc) Really a wonderful build Mso would've given option for cf decklid, wing and the mso front bumper (looks like MP4 front but with a real nice molded in diffuser, should be interchangeable with standard but they didn't make it as such)

Mclaren uses the same engine in all their cars because they are not good at engines or have the money to develop many different engines. Hence why they have the same 3,8 liter in their base cars and their P1. Not exactly the top level. Ferrari has many different NA and turbo engines. And they have that glorious 12 cyl engine in their LaFerrari. That is why LaF is so desired and their prices are sky rocketing. And remember that the main party piece in Mclaren F1 was the 12 cyl BMW engine from the M-division.

not at all. it is part of the super series because it has more than 600 hp and therefore has a nice spoiler (airbrake!) It's a whole different car with better looks in my opinion
