Not true for the 720S and I imagine the 765. M Engineering who has tuned the fastest McLarens in the world have said the 720S engine/transmission is some of the most reliable they have ever worked on. They have 720S' reliably making 1100WHP on stock engine, transmission, turbos, and clutches. When they are tuned bad they can be unreliable (streetspeed717 720S blowing up) but that's the case for any car with a poor tune.

​@@zephyr1969 , As of late, the vast majority of issues are with the cars electronics. Infotainment system crashing, launch control failure and in some cases the car doesn't start at all. Mclaren have got better but for a car that can cost north of 250K you expect the car to start every time you press the button.
