The molds fom the engine must be fully closed. That way you get good pressure wich is necesary to get sharp lines. Use a smaller ladl so you can poor more precisely. When pooring the white metal I use an electric toothbrush to agetate the mold and the molded white metal is spread evenly in the mold.

Thank you so much for all your advice! I will use it as a reference when casting again someday.
Thank you for sharing also your unsuccess. Never tried White metal, process look very difficult to mastering.

I found your channel a bit late, but I am amazed with your different approach to scale modeling. So cool. If I can help a bit, metal casting is a bit tricky, it's good you removed the top layer full of impurities. But for casting in forms, it's better to have some "valley" to pour the metal in, from which you have small channels to move the metal into the parts themselves. It's also good to pick in the "cold shield" on top of the puddle so you move only clean metal into the mold. Try to search for some YT videos and how to's. I think the block would be much better made from metal instead of resin. Give it a try once more. :) I'm cheering for you.
