I came to see if anyone mentioned it before I did.... this was probably Jay's most "wished upon" vehicles, he always talks about that movie, and there's no way you could forget this McLaren after seeing it just once, god damn that thing is gorgeous, sounds phenomenal as well with those equal length headers and those 8 singles/4 duals(didn't get a good look)...I know Jay said Webber's, but IDK if the owner ever confirmed they were, regardless, the combination sounds phenomenal, shame the aluminum Olds wasn't still the block though, that would've made it extra special 👌

This has to be one of the best, if not *the* best, episode of this show yet. It had a _beautiful_ , historic car with an *_incredible_* exhaust note that also had an extensive, active and diverse past. There was an owner that knew just as much (if not more) than Jay about the car, and the period in which it was made, and, for the first time in ages, the conversation was smooth and flowing, without any moments of noteworthy awkwardness. And to top it all off, the car was so good to actually drive that we got a show of _genuine_ excitement and energy from Jay at the very end during the driving portion. Even the overall duration of the video was right in the sweet spot (in my opinion, at least) for the KZbin channel version of the show.

WHAT! A! CAR! I have a few memories from the 1970s ( I was ~10 years old) when I attended CAN AM races at the Speedway Park in Edmonton, Alberta. Even at that young age, and during the height of muscle cars, I was a sports car fan. Consequently I had a C6 and currently own a C7 Corvette. Cheers!

How cool it would be to watch the movie and then walk to your garage and sit in this car. As many already noted Egon is very knowledgeable and a great ambassador for the car. I’ve lived in Europe for a number of years and spent a lot time with Austrians, I chuckled when Jay started the car and Egon gave him the finger motion to proceed - so Austrian. Wonderful, wonderful video and you can tell Jay was thrilled to drive it.

The Alloy 215 ci engine was used in the Buick Le Sabre concept car and it didn't see production street use until 1961. People think that Buick, Olds, Chevrolet engines are all basically the same thing. Prior to the smallblock becoming the blue painted corporate engine all GM motor division engines were very different.
