It's rough thinking John has now been away from us for a longer time than he was here. What an iconic voice and wit he had. A loss to us all but the melody of his life lives on forever in the legacy he left. This was a very moving video. I've just found out that I'm going to be a grandmother. This video is a lovely, and reminds me of the beauty in this journey. Thank you for this tribute.

Thank you very much for your lovely and poignant comment, and congratulations on becoming a grandmother! I agree, it's hard to think that John has been gone more years than he was alive, that he didn't get to grow old, and see the world change... it's heartening though that we can still revel in his music, and how it continues to delight and inspire people.

@@curiouser2858 Thank you for the well wishes. I think Lennon (& MacLen publishings) will be thought of in the future as this era's Mozart or Beethoven as his contribution and innovation in the music industry really lit the way for the modern rock that followed. A man will never be forgot as long as his name continues to be spoken, so Lennon did achieve immortality in some sense. I think he'd be very chuffed about that!

@@booperpotpie9634 I agree! And to think that in one interview he was asked how he thought people would remember him as, and he replied that he didn't care if he would be remembered or not, which is even more heartbreaking given what followed. But yes, I also think he'd be delighted and get a kick from people not only acknowledging his musical brilliance but also how after all these years we are still interested in the Beatles' lives and their adventures in the 60s !
@booperpotpie96342 жыл бұрын
@@curiouser2858 Lennon likely made that statement as a result of being fed up with Beatlemania and being a Beatle. The 60's & 70's were mad times; things were changing rapidly. Imagine not being able to leave your home without someone watching, or going to a pub or cinema without being mobbed. I think I'd be naffed off a bit, too. People cannot truly fathom how intrusive it is to be a "celebrity." I recall seeing folks yelling at McCartney getting into his car as he left his wife's funeral and thought this was not the time and place for that. Light a candle for Linda if you must, then leave. Quietly. Absolutely no privacy, ever. It must be maddening, to say the least.

@@booperpotpie9634 Yes, their lives were singular for a lot of things and their massive fame and how it rose to unfathomable levels, was one of them. Nothing has since come close to 60s Beatlemania (thankfully, because it was indeed insane).

Amazing! Awsome! Wonderful! Beautiful images...Beautiful background music... This the first time I saw this vídeo but it basically showed what I had thought when I had the idea of writing a surrealistic book or and script for a film about The Beatles,specially about The Lennon Family. I could name it entitle it "LET'S GO BACKWARS".🌷🌺💖💞💝
