i have the same MCM backpack... :) i'm quit happy that it isn't real leather, i use it daily and it still looks brand new... if gone trough rain and snow and i'm amazed that the backpack still looks like i bought it from the store... not quit sure if it would be in the same shape in genuine leather... but hands down the best purchase i did...😄😉

I love your accent! You have amazing taste. I love Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci. I have a great collection. I just purchased my first MCM backpack from an outlet! It is bright pink. I appreciate your discussion about the leather. I was thinking about returning mine because when I unboxed it, the color looked marbled or distressed if that makes sense. It also doesn't have the studs on it. Do you think I should keep it? I got it for an amazing price. Does anyone know if MCM will put studs on it? I have an MCM store 20 miles from home. I subscribed and hope to hear your opinion.

If you're not 100% happy with it then there's nothing wrong with returning it...Just depends on how much you like it and how good the deal was! In terms of MCM putting studs on it, I've never heard of them doing that but you should call them to find out for sure.

Thanks for replying! I went to Nordstrom where they carry a lot of MCM. They said that the leather is intended to have that look for the reasons you described in your video. I LOVE the color of the bag and like items that are unique/limited edition. So, I can't bring myself to return it. Even without the studs, I got this amazing bag for 60% off retail! The Ottoman backpack is all leather and same price as all the similar sized backpacks. Making it leather doesn’t effect the price. The canvas and pvc will hold the bag shape much better than leather will.

It’s still crazy high quality, so don’t worry about the real leather situation. Many high end brands don’t even use leather for some of their bags anymore e.g. LV use canvas on a lot of their bags these days. Personally I think that this bag’s quality is way better than any bag I’ve bought from LV or Gucci in the past.

MCM is a German brand...well it was founded there at least. I don’t know much about the L.A outlet pricing though so you could be right.

I would not buy this brand as they were around some years ago and went out of business. This left all their designs a bit redundant. I like the style and colour but I would still want to find that extra but of cash for a leather bag. It does look nice on you though. Nice video.

I went into an MCM store and it’s always empty. Nobody shops there. I wouldn’t be surprised if it shut down. The salesman tried to hard sell me on this same backpack. I looked inside and it said made in Korea. NOT Germany. It’s a German company made in Korea. This brand has had a lot of ups and downs. If you go into Louis Vuitton they could give a fuck if you buy one or not. They don’t need to hard sell anybody. The bags sell themselves. My bags made in Paris yours in Korea. Story over. And I don’t give a fuck if my Christopher has canvas. So does this bag.
