I'm a huge United fan but this clip brings back awesome memories. The Prem just felt so real back then. Getting on for 20 years ago now, lads...

Макманаман великолепный игрок, один из лучших в своём поколении, жаль, к концу карьеры немного начал сдавать, но в середине 90-ых, он выдавал блестящие перформансы.

What a great player he was

His weakness was finishing

Brilliant player Macca. With better finishing he could have had four goals in this game.

With better finishing he could have had 40 more goals in his time there.

My first ever Anfield game - sat in the Main Stand at the Anny Road end to see both of the goals.

McManaman scored a rather lucky goal against us too, in the 96/97 season he hit a tame shot that bounced over a mole holl and over Ian Walkers gloves. COYS

Goalkeeper was a big problem! James was shocking
@tsb32082 жыл бұрын
@@simondelaney6483 James is very possibly the 4th best English goalkeeper there has been after Banks, Shilton and Seaman. His career was defined by his worst mistakes and lack of focus early in his career, but when his head was right he was brilliant.

@Robbie Corcoran Think Man Utd were a fair bit better than everybody else in the league at that time. And by a fair bit, I mean absolutely miles better.

I listened to this on the radio the night I came back from holiday in Kent it was our second game of the season after that 3-3 draw at Middlesbrough

Interesting: Ian Darke on the call. Ian and Macca would call games together for ESPN for several years.

The only thing Good about the Premier League Now is the Premier League has Klopp, Guardiola, Howe, Arteta, Ten Hag and Pochettino are Managers in the League. The Premier League from 1992-2011 were Great.

Not deny that, but Macca would've ran more miles for the team in 1 season than Bergkamp in 10 seasons combined, and no, I'm not saying Macca is better than Bergkamp or vise versa, another example will be saying that Bergkamp will never make tackles like Maldini's, or diving saves like Kahn. Impossible to compare 2 players with 2 totally different playstyle, philosophy and position.

Hahhahaha! Nice point out! Don't think many people realised that hahahah!
@elmacca11 жыл бұрын
Definitely, but come on, Bergkamp was in a different league. McManaman was one of the top players in England. Bergkamp was one of the top players in the world. Even McManaman knows that.

Macca running past Martin Keown like he wasn't there. 3:25. Hilarious... How Keown was ever a top flight player I'll never know. Same with Vinny Jones. Both had little football in them and regularly played the man instead of the ball. Couldn't stand either of them. Referees too soft on idiots like those back then.
