Good review with pros and cons. Also, 100% agree with you about flight gloves. I preferred to use during my military career.

I've loved the A5 stock forever but I think you may have convinced me to get an A6 the next time around

I would say the lack of a textured grip is the Achilles heel of the A6. Molded in colors are more durable and the rubberized tacky feel aids in grip when sweaty hands are searching for purchase on the rifle. I think your right for the A6 the painted route is the way to go to gain the well needed traction. Would like to have seen the reduction in grip size yet carry over of texture to accommodate trivial weather conditions.

Awesome. I have to say though I like their molded better.

Returning to this video for a second time. Have you an experience with the McMillan U-10 stocks? I'm curious how they compare to the A-5/A-6 stocks and why someone would choose a U-10 over an A-5/A-6

Good questions. The U-10 has a bigger grip but closer to the trigger. Sold as a better fit for women or smaller shooters, but it is a blocky combo. The A-5 is a classic and the A-6 in an upgraded A-5 in my opinion. Out of all of them I think I like the A-6 the best.

@wolfprecisioninc Wonderful sir, thank you for the info. I just learned about these stocks the other day and didn't really understand the point of them. The U-1 caught my eye first but I'm left handed and apparently they only make it in a right config and it has a right side only palm swell. So I looked at the U-10 but I'm not a huge vertical grip fan at least not when it comes to traditional stocks. Had more or less settled on an A-6 before coming across these, and I think I'll just stick to that. Just a follow up question, have you seen noticeable difference in McMillan stocks with and without bedding? I know all stock/chassis manufacturers say it's not necessary anymore but I take that with a grain of salt. My biggest reason for asking is the fact that I run different barrelled actions in my XLR chassis and wondered if I could do the same in the McMillan. Obviously not if it's bedded

Do you prefer this or A3-5 for hunting and target shooting?

Please, a little less view of the glass case and the shop. Need to see the product that you’re talking about closer. Don’t mind seeing you and your body language, but need to see the product and specifics closer up. A lot of us have no place to go to to see these products in person.

Sure, we don't get A6's that often but the next time we do we will do some close ups. Thanks for the feedback.
