Springbrook High School killed it! Hard work, determination, hitting every stunt, and showing respect and good sportsmanship to all! I’m proud of the Blue Devils and know they fully deserved to place within the top 3! Awesome job ladies! Stay high, even when others try to go low!

I think, as a former athlete and current coach, that a lot of these teams don't seem like they were technically ready to do a lot of the skills they were doing, like the difficulty was beyond what they had mastered. You can see in the stunts that fell that the technique was off in the sense that the flyers are clearly unconfident and EXTREMELY loose (instead of tight and squeezed, pulling themselves up), bases were stepping out/using their backs or not tossing and catching at appropriate heights, and so on and so forth. I'm legitimately concerned for their safety, no coach should have let some of these teams do the stunts they were doing without fixing the technique first. That's not to say they're not talented, you can be skilled and good at what you do but still progress safely. It's unfortunately really common in comp cheer to see school teams trying stunts that they haven't technically worked their way up to yet, and it can be really dangerous. I get that coaches want to score high on difficulty, but difficulty scores won't matter if you lose points in execution (or get deducted for falling entirely).

Why does some hs require a cheer and chant and some don’t cuz hs in ga leave the cheers out I love this though

Maryland Public School Cheerleading requires a cheer section that is not voiced over by music.

In my experience it depends on the competition (since cheerleading score sheets aren't standardized), which of course vary by state. I'm from California and some competitions require the two sections, a cheer section and a music section, and others don't care if you want music-only, but you may or may not be placed in a different division for it. CIF, our kind of highest form of state competition, requires a cheer only section with huge emphasis on crowdleading and simplicity and less so on skills (like if you put too many skills in, they won't score you as highly, believe it or not). So you really have to change your routine to cater it to whatever competition you go to; it's interesting that Georgia doesn't ever require it though, funny how rules can vary by state!

And I bet y’all would not be saying y’all was robbed or it was rigged if u had won. And y’all have hella bad sports men ship your dances and cheers might be good but y’all additude is trash.
