Some species of logs will surprise you, they can set around and drip sap forever. Good looking lumber out of that one. Good job. Thanks for sharing

I like the overhead view, gave us some good looks at the whole log being cut

Thanks, trying different ways to shoot.

So much easier cutting up the waste right off the mill… I usually take a few small passes just to make the handling of off cuts easier. Kiddos are cute!

That was a nice pine log! I can’t wait to see the shed roof you’re going to build! There’s got to be to a way to turn those logs without buying a Lt 35

Nice looking white pine. Around here it is getting harder to find white pine that doesn't have red rot in the center. I hope you video the shed build...oh, and keep in mind doing videos in the shed build. We didn't and ended up with difficult lighting and camera positioning. Good tip, I always lower the head all the way, I'll have to reconsider that.

My mill was less than a year old when the springs failed, professional homeowner had to replace his twice already.

@@mcsawmill Another channel, Kalevala South Farm, replaced his as well. One thing in common is LT15 Wide. Hopefully (for me) the regular LT15's are ok

Good video. Sounds like your inch scale needs to be adjusted by 1/16".

LOL.. when I was editing the video I said that exact same thing! But I think it's the angle I was viewing it at, I'm used to looking up not down...

I would suggest using diesel or another cleaning agent in the lube tank rather than water. One slip with that bottle and you could lose fingers or a hand. The blade will pull that bottle faster than you can let go. Trust me on this, can only count to 9 and a half now.

I don't like to use diesel, I'm real close to the blade and the mist gets all over me. I can fill the tank with used cooking oil, just need to filter it first. Thanks for the warning, I do like my fingers!

Yea double checked my logs you are right. I started out thinking pine but when editing the video convinced myself I had the wrong log because it has no knots but nope full circle...
