This is precisely what KZbin is for, and Troy you hit a homer with this simple solution to a confusing dilemma for us amateur handymen who could not quite commit to the common logic of the screws and sealant having to go in first. And, I'm glad you had to wrestle it a bit cause that is how it goes.

I don't think I've ever commented on a youtube video, but just have to say thank you!!!! I looked all over for installation information for this threashold and everything I found glazed over installing the seal like it was completely obvious. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I probably would still be trying to get the seal installed 14 hours later.

THANK YOU!!!!! This is the exact threshold we just bought, I showed my husband this video, I recorded him doing it, and it literally took him 1 minute and 7 seconds to get it completely in! Don't ask me how long he cursed that thing before your video ;P lol

Just replaced mine on my inside garage door. From beginning to end, it took about 5 minutes. Now to do the front door.

Try a hair dryer on high heat then push into threshold it really helps

They must have Changed the Vinyl, I have an hour invested in mine with a putty knife trying to force it in the slot, not going to go, Mine is clear anodized with gray Vinyl, maybe it's different?

I would use some pliers, with a washcloth in between so you don't damage the rubber. I hope this helps.

This product is Hard as Hell to get the Rubber into the track. I tried doing it JUST LIKE THIS VIDEO, and it still didn't want to go in. This is a fine example of a company designing something that they NEVER TESTED!!!!!! I am just dumbfounded by the idiots that made this threshold! If I could give it a NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD!!!

I agree with judith Jensen in the comments, try a hairdryer to warm up the rubber seal it should make it more pliable.
