I partially agree to your point doc..In Gen surgery DNB is ok when your ultimate aim is Mch..Most of MD med and MS surgery candidates don't settle with their degrees and they go for SS and it's much needed future concerned.so DNB is cool in general surgery..🙌🙌 Also DNB ophthalmology(ophthal is a surgical branch) in some institutes in South..like sankar netralaya /Aravind etc are really good..have good cutting rate and exposure than a govt MC(not AIIMS or central institutes)

MD peds is my dream course but in south india is quite difficult though it will be my 1st priority in choice filling.After that, I got stuck whether to prefer DNB in Kanchi kamakoti child trust over MD Peds in periperal North indian institute/colleges. I think MD Pediatrics at SMS Jaipur would be available. That’s a good college. Same for MD Pediatrics at KGMU and Bombay colleges. Bonds - yes but you anyway would do SRship. Prefer MD >DNB at your rank.

Go for MS Ophthalmology . DNB has lower pass percentage and at your rank the good hospitals I mentioned may not be available.

I would say go for DNB, anyhow medicine is not an end branch anymore. You will be sitting for DM exam. You will be equally qualified and you will be having stronger academics than your MD counterparts. Pluse Delhi DNB colleges are really good with good patient load and decent pay.

MD should be preferred as I have said unless peripheral college has a high bond. If that’s the scenario - DNB at Chacha Nehra=Army R and R> St Stephens>Gangaram is a good option.

@@geetakabbinad2647 last year st stephen went for 2921. My preference list is gangaram>stephen> max>medanta. Rajiv gandhi is also a good hospital but exposure to trauma and obgyn is almost nil. There are some really good hospitals in mumbai and hyderabad too.
