@@korubiburaun9323 Frieza wanted Bardock and his team dead. They were getting too strong too quickly. Also Frieza would never acknowledge the strength of a Saiyan. Especially prior to Goku. It's why Bardock's team was killed by Dodoria in both versions. No one believed Bardock in the first version because he was heavily injured and they thought he was going a bit crazy from all those suicide missions. In the Broly movie version he didn't tell anyone.

In the story following the tournament of power (currently only in manga form) it explains why Boo is so powerful. Veteran Dragon Ball fans will recall the Bibidi flashback showing Boo going to the world of the Kais and killing all of them, save for the youngest one, Kaioshin. Kaioshin was saved by the the Grand Kai, the robust one that looks like robust Boo. Turns out that when Boo consumed him, he took his power, and when Boo split, half of his power went to pure evil Boo (I think he’s called kid Boo in English) and the original one. In the current story, it was revealed that the grand Kai was killed but sealed away. The Galactic Patrol unsealed him and he awoke in Majin Boo. Those following the manga are learning just how strong Boo could have been had he known how to use that power, and he only had half of it. What is Boo? He’s a sponge: he becomes what he absorbs.

Bardok never went Super Saiyan until Toei retconned his origin story a few years ago. That story, however, was wiped away from canon when Akira Toriyama decided to write his own backstory for the Saiyans shown in the Broly movie. As many of you may already know, the anime occasionally goes out of its way to fill in gaps or expand on the story. I believe the reason for this is this: cartoons in Japan need to be able to run for an entire year. Akira Toriyama wasn’t writing a story to be animated; he was writing a comic book bound by no such rules. In order to comply with TV standards, Toei had to add fillers, which some love/hate. However you feel on the matter, it was necessary. Be grateful, however, as these fillers lead to some great additions that likely never would have seen the light of day thanks to Toei, Bardok is such a character. All of the movie villains were created by Toei too, though Toriyama did provided sketches-he said he had forgotten about Broly in interviews, as his mind was on the story he was telling. Bardok wasn’t born an elite like Paragus, but he was a respected grunt who knew how to throw down like no one’s business. A few more near death experience, surely would have pushed him over the top, but alas it wasn’t meant to be.

Tbh loved this rap. And yeah I agreed with pretty much everything you said regarding gohan. Minus the stuff about ultimate gohan. That was confirmed to be stronger than super saiyan 3 was even at the time. And I really dont think gohan considers himself a saiyan and wouldnt really embrace that since hes never liked fighting. Only thing hes got that hes really ever embraced regarding the saiyan race is the rage boosts basically and zenkai. That's not really ever been him necessarily neglecting the saiyan side its just hes always preferred study over fighting. Just always had to step up and fight and never had much of a time of peace except between the cell arc and buu arc. Did find that theory about the bardock lineage cool though

You're forgetting what Buu is. He's MAJIN Buu. Even the Supreme Kai knew about Buu. Of course tales of Majin Buu would strike fear into King Cold, not even mentioning Buu, Cell and the Androids would strike fear into King Cold. Remember, Frieza is the SECOND Saga in DBZ. He, at the time, was much weaker than Buu, Cell and the Androids. So of course Buu would strike fear into King Cold. They would clap Frieza in a heartbeat. At least, pre-Golden Frieza.

I mean I thought this would have been obvious, Keep in mind Namek Saga Frieza would get dominated by the Cell Saga Androids. Any villain past the Namek Saga could literally one shot Frieza, so of course his dad would warn them about him. Buu is known for casually destroying GALAXIES, only him and Beerus share this reputation. Coincidentally, these are the only two Cold warned Frieza about.
