As to your Buu question, in the original lore it was stated that Babidi’s father, Bibidi, created Buu. In more recent times Toriyama retcon’d his origin, stating in an interview that Buu was the embodiment of all evil that existed since time immemorial and that all Bibidi did was summon him forth. In any case, even Buu in his original form would have dusted Freeza with no effort. His pure form was not Beerus level but he could still theoretically do what Beerus does, as he demonstrated in the show. Among G.o.D.’s there are different levels and we don’t know how they rank, but in any case Buu could easily do the same job as a G.o.D. ~_~

Well Cell didn't get their potentials, he kind of picked and chose what he got from them, he got the exact copy of the Saiyan's zenkai boost but then only got an ability or two from Frieza and somehow amped up Piccolo's regeneration to a ridiculous level. I think it was mainly because Buu was a lot stronger than Frieza was at the time (before Golden). You gotta remember, Frieza WAS one of the strongest in the universe at the time. Cell was created to fight Goku so Buu and Beerus were the only possible threats King Cold knew about.

Janemba really needs a remake and deserves to be put in canon just like Gogeta. Legacy of Goku 2 did a little spin on his origin but that's just in the american version of the game but it said that before all the evil souls manifested itself in this form Janemba was a Demon Lord in HFIL with magical abilities and also a very jokster personality that a long time ago got sealed or broken apart and in Fusion Reborn because of all the evil souls released he could reemerge again. I think making him some kind of magical demon Lord that broke out of hell because he is just bored and starts rampaging other world and finally manages to break through dimensions and enters the living world with his magic would be a pretty cool storyline. Just think about it x-x

Honestly don't know where to put Janemba. Goku was capable of shaking the entire afterlife just transforming into SSJ3, and Super Janemba scales beyond that, so at bear minimum he would have to be at the very least a Multi-Solar System buster.

Google says: King Cold had heard of Majin Buu and God of Destruction Beerus and warned Frieza that these were the only two beings he should never cross. King Cold told Freeza to avoid fighting Beerus and Majin Buu because they would kill him. ... Beerus and Majin Buu were just way to strong for Frieza to fight until he trained and became Golden Frieza. There's a reason why Goku needed 2 sagas and as many Super Saiyan forms to go from Freeza level to Majin Buu level. Majin Buu or Kid Buu was stronger than Beerus 75 million years ago, so even if Beerus knew about him, he'd be helpless against him. Beerus attained his strength by training with Whis for 75-85 million years. Kid Buu is the embodiment of evil
