When you’re in a true clinical depression, lack of energy and feeling overwhelmed are two of the main symptoms. He might not be able to do those things you’re suggesting. I hope he’s seeing someone for this. He can get better and enjoy the simple things again.

I would have asked the homeowner to speak to the neighbor across the street who was letting the big dog run loose. They need to know that they can be sued if the dog bites someone. It is against the law to have your dig run loose especially without a collar and proof of their shots.

You're correct Victoria depression is a silent killer. I have major depression, feel like no one really cares about me.I have siblings but seldomly hear from them. After my mom passed from various health problems on Christmas eve in 2020,a terrible relationship/marriage i was in,wasn't only being used by her. I've lost all hope for anything. I miss my best friend/my Mom.

@@MrUnknown-wf1xf Maybe you need an anti-depressant from a Doctor??? Then try exercise like walking and slowly build up to more. Exercise releases endorphins into your body to make you happier. Walking is also a good way to stay in shape and even to meet new people. If you still have the house, mow it, plant flowers, clean it up. Find new hobbies. I take an anti-depressant and it really helps. I know you miss your Mom, but you still have a life. Go to a Doctor please, and start finding new friends and hobbies. P.S. Don't drink alcohol because it will depress you further. God Bless You!

Do hug your parents, grandparents, siblings and other loved ones. You never want to regret that one last hug. I love the way you and your dad work together if you watch closely you both work together like you’re one man both of you see what needs to be done and get it done. It’s like you both see two or three steps ahead and it doesn’t matter who is doing what you just get it done. My mother loved to bake, and after I lost her I started baking more. I would make pies, cakes, cookies, etc to work. It made me feel better and closer to her. It was like honoring her and her love of baking. My co-workers loved it too. :) I think he should look at it as honoring his mother by keeping up the yard the way she would have liked it. Sit on the porch with a nice cold drink and remember the good memories. When I would start feeling really sad, I would tell myself to buck up because my mother would hate for me to be sad, all she ever wanted was for me to be happy. Thank you for your kindness and for helping him out, hopefully, he will take advantage of you getting it cleaned up and he will feel better about keeping it up. God Bless you both.
